This has the look of a budget that will have doubled by the end of the programme again

They don't strike me as the people that have a magic money tree growing like the last 2 couples.

These two are in cloud cuckoo land. Either that or they're deaf.

Going from 220 k to 305 k and they say it's slightly over budget!

    Tramore

And that area of Tramore is the Doneraile, which is fabulous. I walk there regularly, and I feel like I’m in Cape Cod or Marin County when I’m up there. I’m surprised it was only €320k!

Ciaran Tiernan might be saying good things about last weeks couple yet!

They bought that gaff for 305k when houses were cheap. Why don't they sell it now for say 550k and build a mansion somewhere else

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,825 ✭✭✭LirW

I have to give Dermot that he is a lot milder this season, almost reasonable.
That couple seems like a handful and by what they're spending between purchase and renovation it might have made more sense for them to build from scratch.
The plot is stunning, I get it but fcuk me they got a bad deal with the house to begin with, they basically paid that for the plot.

Sounds like he wanted basically a second house. A two storey one at that.

Probably the least likable couple of the series so far.

It was kitted out with a kitchen, had an upstairs, not a run of the mill shed

By looking at the drawings, we did not see them, but a 2 storey building with elekkie and plumbing, its not exactly a 'shed'.

I think the constant noise in the summer of tennis balls being struck and players releasing their inner Monica Seles could get annoying very quickly

You get immune to the noise, it becomes background noise. €120 k for a shed seems abit much

Every builder in the country loves this programme and the rediculous prices! Makes them look good when quoting.

120k for a shed? Think that QS might need a few more years back in college!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,687 ✭✭✭the_pen_turner

what the hell were they going to do to that shed. 120k should have it amazing inside ready to move into. 30k should completely redo the roof and new doors windows etc. what else is there in there
