So because the staff member made the assumption that they were both getting married to men, this is homophobic? Seems like they were just looking to be offended.. There's a show on Sat nite for professional victims, ring that..

he'll be looking for a discount to make up for the lack of training of the staff there too.

Homophobia? I don't think so. Just more of a case of it being uncommon for a lot of shop owners I'd say.

What is this whingebag waffling on about?

Why should staff be trained to deal with same-sex couples? If people choose to live outside the accepted norms they have to deal with these things - it goes with the territory. I've nothing against gay people but why do we have to change everything to suit them and their sensitivities.

It shouldn't be a problem if shop staff are trained to be courteous and helpful to all customers regardless of their sexual orientation.

This is just like the mammy ringing on behalf of the morto son, only its a Dad ringing on behalf of his daughter.

    "Take the jump"

Attention folks, the caller was addressing people in the closet, not people who are suicidal.
