    Whats the best thing 2 put down when applying for a silencer for a .22lr?

    i applied before but wasn't granted, dont know why and they didnt give me a reason!

    just got the renewal form and ill try again!!

    i want it for hunting rabbit so not 2 scare any away from the area i was shooting in.

    What did ye put down and were u granted one?

    i said it was to reduce the risk of startling nearby livestock which could possibly lead to them causing harm or injury to themselves especially horses. also as some of the shooting being done would be late at night or early morning it would reduce the disturbance to any homes which would be close enough to hear the report of the rifle

    all of which is true so i wasn't making anything up, and obviously it should be done in your own wording. i think it's best to hand write the letter and not type it
