I'd still take a punt on it, you could nearly scrap it for 500 if it all went t*ts up :D

I dunno, I spose it would be worth a gawk if you lived near..

Suspension bits are a pain with those, front wishb's etc, and the temp guage in pic 2 looks a little high, for a yoke that's not running...

Might be a good machine for making tea :pac:

True that, but the temp guage is flat to the bottom..the petrol guage is half ways up..

On second thoughts, it looks like a bit of effort, you could get a decent one for about 900

    Edit: like this http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/5075042

an expensive fixer upper, but probably worth the guts of twice the price when "fixed up".

    potentially overpriced 7 series

how about this rare bus lads? She`s a LHD Megane with only 100 yes 100klms. Seemingly was a test / demo car for Renault Ireland for training. On ebay at the moment - auction ends soon. If only I had a megane:)

note: its for parts only which seems a shame:( low reserve apparently!

this will make too much, the jammed doors could be a killer, wd will not open them, if it would hed have them opening, there could be a cracked block as well, it could be that he was intending to put it on the road, hence the new clutch, then he hit a wall,

Would need VRTing. At 100km's it'll need VAT paying too. Export or parts methinks.

I'd agree with your thoughts on that one. I've viewed a few cars in my day that were described as needing a good service. Maybe it was just chance but they all needed serious repair work

The problem is, when most people describe a car as "needing a good service" it means its running like total sh1t, and 99.9% of the time, a standard service will not cure it. I mean, an oil change will not stop a car from running on 3 cylinders.

Thats exactly what I meant Cheensbo. These people either do not understand the difference between routine servicing/ preventative maintenance and repair work or else they choose not to acknowledge the difference:)

Final Update on the ebay Megane for Auction. Someone went bananas and paid €1700 for it. I thought €700ish would be tops... !! as a matter of interest would anyone recommend ebay auction as a way of buying a car?

Would be slow in buying a car off ebay. Don't be surprised if you see that Megane up for sale again. It is very easy to set up an ebay account and bid and then change one's mind. Have seen several of them relisted :P

Actually, i thought it would go for 2k max as it cant be registered so its as good as 2x crashed megans with damaged different ends.

Unless someone can fit missing dashboards panels, rewrite vin number on the body into vin from some crashed car of the same make, model and colour, and have nearly unused vehicle for less than 2k.

Lots of test and 2 months tax. If it hasn't been over heated it could be good?
