A thread gauge will tell you. Any dealer will tell you what thread it is nearly by looking at it. If its a Tikka/Sako they are mostly M14x1. It will be stamped on the rear of a T8 what thread it is. You will have to get the bushing drilled near in size to the diameter of the of the barrel. Most barrels are a fraction wider a few inches away from the barrels muzle. Slight taper on them. David Mulvehill is 270euro for a T8 new.

it is a Sauer 202, not sure if t is factory threaded as i bought it second hand.

Will just bring it to the local gun dealer , will see first what prices they do for the T8

    Thanks for the answers

They don't come factory threaded. I know as mine did not.

That's because the front sight is right to the end of the barrel (at the muzzzle), and you need to remove it to thread the rifle.

If it's the same as my Sauer 202 then the biggest thread size you can get on it is 1/2" UNF as anything bigger is bigger than the diameter of the barrel.

Bring it to a dealers. They will have rifles with thread caps on it. Keep trying them until one fits then you'll know. If you cannot get a thread gauge.

I think the Sauer 202 classic synthetic comes factory threaded with a M14X1. I think its the only Sauer 202 that does
