some are just suited to the more tame and far less brutal AM game. Khan, for example had no inside game, no innate survival skills, no real power, and very basic ring IQ. Pro game at top level is a different beast

Such a corrupt sport. Scandalous decision

WW champion of world by spending 12 rds doing pretty much eff all but trying to not get stopped.. useless

I don't think it was close either simply because crocker did nothing for large parts of that fight. Sure some of Paddy's offense was tame but Jesus at least he was doing something.

Shambolic crocker did nothing bar the 2 KDs.

Absolutely shocking decision. Paddy has beaten him twice.

Is that Jamie Conlon celebrating with Crocker?

    Boxing is so corrupt.
    Rotten to the core.

Got the decision because he wasn't totally outclassed like last time.

Can't see how Crocker won that.

1 judge gave him the 2 10-8 rounds PLUS another FOUR ROUNDS!!!!!!

Unbelieveable.... donovan up by at least 2 rounds if not 4.

Robbed is an understatement...thats boxing though.… corrupt

Where next for donovan? Andy lee couldn't make limerick work, would Dublin work? Or does he go to England? Hardly US I assume

Id struggle with the outcome of those two fights were I Donovan. Crocker seems limited to say the least

Someone will pick up the easiest world title imaginable off Crocker

It's time for A.I judges. Get the three most exceptional A.I platforms to judge objectively

a mate just text me asking if I think that’s the worst ever world champion. I thought of Leon Spinks and Charles Martin and then my head began to hurt. Appalling performance and appalling decision.

Pawel Kardyni was the judge who gave it 114-112 to crocker… he has previous....

He was the judge in biviol v beterbeiv (1) who gave beterbiev 116-112. Funnily enough, it was Eddie Hearn who said he shouldnt work again...Eddie was there in the ring tonight

"He, along with others, branded the 116–112 scorecard too wide and said the judge "should never work in the sport again," referring to Polish judge Pawel Kardyni."

Leon far far better WC than Crocker. Personally I can only think of Paulie or Kotelnik as worse..

Crocker’s plan was to not get stopped. And he gets to be called a WC off of it. Paddy, and let’s be honest, wasn’t near great, won purely off effort is all.

Pretty fair Both fighters very average all things being said but still an awfull decision!

yes. I thought Paddy deserved it. First KD was a complete nothing in a round that Paddy won. I’d have scored this 9-9, not 10-8 Crocker.

Malignagginand Kotelnik are much better than Crocker.

Kotelnik looked dreadful against Khan as he really struggled with the speed, but he was good against Devon Alexander and arguably should have got the decision vs him. Also had a win over Maidana, and I think he's better than he's given credit for. Stylistically Khan was a nightmare for him.

Paulie beat both Ngoudjo and Pablo Cesar Cano for World titles (which they held) so he's above both of those at the very least. He also beat Judah, Baby Bull Diaz and gave a young Cotto a really hard fight, so there's much worse than him imo.

I never saw much of him but Luis Santana beat Terry Norris for a World title on a DQ and defended it against him by the same method. His record is poor and he's generally considered a poor fighter, so he probably has to be up there.

The likes of Michael Bent and other poor WBO title holders in it's earlier days are the ones that'd probably stand out the most.

yes. Agreed. I meant to add possibly worse. More them two came to mind as opposed to actually weaker/worse. But I agree, both better

That was a joke of a decision. Donovan won pretty much every round. Even if you gave Crocker two 10-8 rounds, it's very hard to see how you can find another 2-3 rounds that he won.

Come on Callum. A knockout would be awesome.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 41,929 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Callum two up through two, really working the body.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 41,929 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Big end to round 4 by Callum. I.yhink it's 3-1 to Walsh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 41,929 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Callum finishing every round well. Vargas leaving his chin up quite a lot now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 41,929 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Callum has been impressive. Two rounds to go and Vargas looks really tired. I think it's 6-2 right now.
