Just loaded winter milkers we sold. Heading to the UK. 3 had to be held back as they were too forward springing to be allowed travel by Dept.

They will be inspected in a lairage in Dublin. Then they travel to Belfast and down the UK to Semerset. Absolute banannas could go through Roslare and be there in about 10 hrs. As it is they will have to be unloaded in Scotland and rested.

bet it cheaper going through the North to Scotland. When I get bulkers work out of the UK its a NI firm that do it and they run about 66% of the round trip empty:confused: makes no sense to me

It's savage weather for mole ploughing. We have about 50 acres done so far. We were able to do some fields that have been particularly wet in recent years. Almost all of our land is sloped and this has allowed us to pull every mole out of an open drain. Fields that were mole ploughed a month ago are showing great improvements in grass growth and hopefully we will see the difference in drainage next spring!!

So, do you pull up hill from the open drain?

    That's the idea.

On steeper gradients we would go sort of across the side of the hill ensuring a fall on the mole all the time cause with a 4 inch mole she is hard enough pulled through dauby ground.

The last time we had a good bit of rain ( I can't remember when - isn't that brilliant :) ) you could climb down into the open drain and find the hole of the mole and see the water running out through it. Must get some pics the next time - hopefully not for a while though!!! :D
