Egret 29 is what I would love

    Yeahhhhh
It also got the rotating mechanism and looks totally badass :p

If you can't get an E2, then the only acceptable answer is to have two E3's...one in Tate, the other in Hori.

the guy buying my bike turned out to be a time wasting clown.
dont think I'll go for the E2 anyways.
A trisync would suit my needs better I reckon

Ask Ronnie if he has any Egret 3s or AWSDs so. More of less the same tri sync cab.

Good stuff. Keep us updated with his stock list! Its like porn for us cab fetishists.

That rotating mech is really cool. Love to have access to the type of machinery to make that kind of stuff!

Yeah urban ledge definitely let us know what he has in stock. I could go in with you and see if we could get a few quid knocked off if we buy 2 cabs.

Plus it would make everyone here extremely jealous if 2 cabs landed together

If he has Egret 29 I could be tempted to sell some stuff :)

I know he has a blast city,
I might look into doing a rotate mech for the BC once its working.
    I'd rather 2 cabs tho :D:D (or 3)

Egret 29's are the mutts nuts.
Might as well ask about a discount Jack.
I think he adds a bit on for haggling anyway

For ages I was pretty sure everyone thought the Egret 29 was a bit odd looking...now everyone seems to love them!

I have to say, I'm one of the converted also. There's something very cool about them. Still can't figure out why the foot rest is in such an odd place though

    Sure no harm in asking!

Egret 29....dont know what to make of it myself....I think I really like it!

Any why the speakers stick out like crazy!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,919 ✭✭✭TechnoFreek

Not a fan of the egret 29 myself either.

Ronnie defo has room for haggling. I enquired about an AWSD before but it had no coin mech. This was reflected in the asking price.

However with very little persuasion I got him to include a coin mech and step down at no extra cost. And I'm sure I could have gotten another few quid off him if I was prepared to follow through.

I've read that the sound out of it is absolutely amazing due to all the speaker placements.

I saw a great shot somewhere (maybe AO?) where one of the guys had a collection of Taito cabs lined up.

    An Egret 3, Egret 2, Egret 29 and (I think) a Canary

    That's the one!

No Canary..must have been wishful thinking on my part :D

    Still, absolutely amazing setup.

    Yeah thats a sweet setup.

I think the 29 is actually really cool....Its kind of like a companion cab. It looks was nicer next to another cab(s)

So whoever is planning on getting that should get at least 2 more cabs to go with it! :D

It also seems to look a lot better with the screen orientated vertically.

/Art farty hat - I guess it's the vertical orientation shape complementing the shape of the speakers on each side.

Is it not a pain with 15khz?

I dont fancy using the arcade gfx card as they aint beefy enough for sf4 etc
    whats the other options?

Well I can't speak for SF4 as I've yet to see that on a 15Khz screen...but by and large a pc, a compatible ATi/Nvidia gfx card {something more powerful than an ArcadeVGA}, soft15Khz & a jpac look absolutely stunning if they're running through a 15Khz arcade crt.

Windows can be configured to hide most of that (except the bios maybe) and boot straight into Hyperspin for example. Hyperspin has a shutdown on exit option.
