why ban a thread highlighting the recent upscale of people power in this country??

anybody who says this isn't needed 5 years into this madness where our politicians and councillors and bankers are living it up are off their heads to put it mildly imo

Minister Michael ring referred to all protestors and 'meja' who make 'nigative' comments and such as 'hurlers on the ditch. Get off the ditch and onto the field and play the game with the rest of us' at an event in my work recently. I really felt like responding but would have lost my job. The audience app, auded him for it.

they may well have necks like a jockeys bo11icks but they will only "ignore" this in public but in private or in the state car they'll feel every ounce of anger from the crowd and be rattled a little more inside each time they're greeted to brave Irish souls voicing their anger!!

    POWER TO THE PEOPLE

What people power? A small minority shouting is not an uprising.

this is people power!! just cos you don't want to admit it doesn't make it so!! you do realise how many people are members now of the campaign against the household and water tax?? you do realise they're the largest group in the country at the moment but that there and many other groups gone out on their own agendas.

it's the beginnings of it but it is what it is and you can try derail the tread all ya like but those already awake will see the thread and your reply to it for what it is

We should hang them by their shoelaces, or drive over some of them in bulldozers. That will show the political elite!

So, although some of us have bene protesting against these w4nkers/bankers/local councils etc for over 4 years it seems the last few weeks have seen an escalation in mobs of people showing up at all local council meetings and where politicians would like nothing more than to just get on with their charade.

will you join your fellow Irish people who have had enough or will you use everything and anything as an excuse to guarantee more misery for us all here in Ireland as our elected "elite" live it up in lavish lifestyles??

Lauding an aimless, discordant baying mob? A shitty false dichotomy ending to a pointless retread of equally terrible opening posts?

Well, you've hit all the right notes with minimal effort. You'll go far 'round these parts.

Its a group of people shouting. The people elected the lads inside.

As for the property tax, Ireland is the only country in the world where socialists are opposed to it. Heres a wake up call - the rich have more expensive property.

I am a protestor and we're not being ignored. don't confuse low confidence (that will never be helped with your attitude!! but that's another story altogether) or denial to get through the day with lack of support.

the people are getting off their arse now and it's to be welcomed whenever it happens.

You do know that people who post on the internet are also capable of leaving the house to do things. The two arent mutually exclusive.

I think it's sad that anyone protesting is seen like they're some sort of lunatic and should instead complain amongst their peers like everyone else while getting on with life.

More power to them I say.
