Default Settings.

- Last day is Sunday 3rd March 2013.

General Rules:

- Highest score wins.

- No savestates, savestate practices, etc. during the round.

- MAME INP recordings are encouraged but optional.

- A screenshot is required to enter a score (press F12 to save screenshot showing your final score) or take a photo of the game screen.

- Use of autofire or other non-standard hacks within MAME or your PC's OS are not allowed.

i beat my own high score in Donkey kong over the weekend,

easy tip on the very first level is shoot as many bubbles as possible before popping the ones with the 3 enemies in them, every bubble turns into something for really handy points, you should clock 30k and a free man by the second stage.

the sweets and runners are the key as well, and if you have the sweet that doubles your bubble speed then shoot them constantly, you get 10 points for every popped one so stand in a corner lashing them out and your score will constantly increase.

And every 20levels you go without loosing a life a secret door will appear, go in here for the diamond goodness

Got soooo addicted to this game on MAME so won't be taking part but you do know every special weapon appears for a reason?


eg - jump 51 or more times on the first screen and get a yellow sweet on the second...

Started making stupid mistakes on from level 19+ when I realised I was late back for work
Will be aiming for 3-4 times that by Sunday

you get a 20k bonus each level if you kill only by melee and not firing bullets/stars

Jaysus I had no idea the power up system was so convoluted lol i thought it was just random stuff, will be trying to work some of these into games from now on

level 19 is when the difficulty ramps up, that stupid level with all the narrow gaps if you fall into you can't get out, just have to rely on the lightning bolts.

Then got murdered on level 35

Annoying because i can get into the 70s without dying

My aim is over 3 million so thats only halfway there

That's bobble bobble(bootleg) your playing. Rom:Boblbobl
Gameplay is different than original, white ghosts don't shoot balls and bubbles are emulated wrong

Level 70 without losing a life is pretty impressive
