Remembering "closed account" users

A fair few people who posted in here regularly have deleted in recent times. No doubt that some will come back to the good old comfortable time waster that is boards.ie and others will move onto more important things like settling down with a huge mortgage, having kids, doing the school run, attending parent teacher meetings, leaving the surf board and the mountain bike and the tent permanently in the garage to gather dust.

There comes a time in most people's lives when they start to focus exclusively on boring "grown up" things like the ones mentioned above and obviously boards does not have any part in that.

Anyway I would hate to think that those who self-immolated their accounts like a Tibetan monk are instantly forgotten about and would like to give a "shout out" as they do on the radio to some of them

Ghandee - Hope you havn't spent all that lottery win inside in the one shop!

Pottler - A true man of knowledge and integrity, I can't help but think I have the new account spotted already

Eve_Dublin - Maybe if it wasn't for lads like myself spewing so much "sexist bollocks" you'd have stuck around a bit longer. Sorry about that.

Well I mostly use the motorcycle and martial arts forums, which tend not to lose people.

But from AH the two who stand out with me are Stupidusername and Outlaw Pete.

And some (who shall remain nameless) can go f*ck themselves.

Most people banned with that post count would just have amassed so many cards and bans that they would be deemed an official pain in the hole. I reckon thats the case with him.

It's a spam trap. Basically spambots were hitting the forums coming first alphabetically in the Arts category pretty hard, so Aardvark was inserted in front of them as bait. It's been pretty successful, but occasionally some lost soul wanders in and suffers the wrath of the aardvarks.

I'd be amazed if 3/4 of the posters mentioned hadn't reopened another account. Quite a few are obvious enough anyway.

But it has to be javaboy for me. I miss him and Terry being mods. AH was at it's peak then.
