What do women really look for in men?

    Besides the obvious things like

    1. Money and the will to give it to the woman no matter of how little utility the things she spends it on are

    2. A stable job and a stable environment for the kids to grow up in as they have been pre-programmed to want by evolution. This evolutionary pre-programming is the culprit for a lot of the undesirable attributes that women tend to have. They can't help it so it isn't really that fair to hold it against them

    3. Big knob

I have my own money thanks.

Kids are very much undecided for me at the moment.

    Big knob? Yeah ok.

Men should have their own interests and be able to function as a person rather than just as a boyfriend.

    A good sense of humour.

And massive muscles. No, really, don't kid yourselves. They aren't after "lean" or "tall" or "flexible". It's a six pack and mighty thews that draw the eye. Not to go too far down that road, you don't want to end up looking like an ordnance survey 1:1 map of the Burren, but yeah, raw muscle is your best bet.*

*naturally everyone is different and some people like nappy fetishes and shure what's wrong with that

If she's intelligent and has a good job she'll almost certainly want a man who has the same. Younger women will usually go for looks more so than personality but there still needs to be a minimum requirement of the lesser quality. Young, uneducated girls with no outlook on life will often be attracted to confident, brash fellas who display an abundance of peacockery i.e. tattoos and the type of clothes and accessories that attract those types.

Older women who have experience will just want a decent, nice man with a minimum requirement in terms of looks. Women who are already in a relationship or married will sometimes really like their partner but will want a man with a good body to fulfill their sexual needs.

Sense of humour, older than me, nice smile, stability, other than that I'm easy!

I forgot tall, confident and he has to smell nice. And dress well!

Gold diggers want money. Women who have good careers don't want the man to have money per se, but because they'll want a man who also has a good job and who is intelligent, the money will obviously come with that. They only want that to feel feminine - it's not shallow in the way the gold digger's mindset is.

But there are plenty of women who don't care about money. These women will want to be entertained by a good personality though, and possibly good looks too.

Another thing i have to laugh about what Irish girls want is this scenario.. Every sunday the women all around Ireland are watching TV foaming for the likes of Brezzie. He's this, he's that etc...Wishing all men was like brezzie. Now when the said Brezzie is on TV he's wearing skinny jeans, trendy shirts with low cut t-shirts, and maybe a purple pair of slip on canvas shoes etc.

Now if i turned up at any nightclub wearing the clothes like the 'god' brezzie, the girls would be, he's not a real man, state of him, must be ghey etc...Only applies to Irish niteclubs/girls. You could wear a pink shirt out in England and people would just see you as trendy/unique. In Ireland unless your wearing jeans, shirt, black communion shoes, gold chain, ur seen as ghey. Glad my girlfriend isnt narrow minded Irish.

He's probably either good looking and/or built like a brick outhouse. Some guys can get away with certain things. Most things can be explained logically - girls just want men to be confused because they get a kick out of it.

Bit of a contradiction there, but TMO is hardly intellectual stuff...

what the hell is with the job and stability your not getting married.... your going for a drink its really pathetic that women judge a man bye his career.. Honestly Id rather be a manny any way :pac: seriously why is it important for the man to be the stable one, i always felt that it was a 50/50 thing.. I don't have a fancy title and I do what I do well actually I'm fvcking awesome at it... :)

How ever i never want to be judged on my career alone its not something id sit there and talk about with a girl i barely know. Unless of course she a fasion designer and were just talking about fun creative things...

It's not about "the man having to be the stable one". I'd imagine most women who look for stabilty in a man are very career minded themselves. I know I am. Sure I want to feck around for a few years and not worry about work but eventually I want to develop my career and earn a decent wage so I can provide for a family in the future. I'd look for the same in any man/woman I was dating. If it were something serious, that is. At the moment I'm too young for all that!

Every single woman I know from Ireland has their own career and own money and I can bet my life on the fact that it's the same for all of you (unless unemployed due to the crisis). Have I accidentally wandered into Boards Saudia Arabia or what?

My boyfriend is unemployed and has been since last Summer. I don't love him any less and I'm not exactly rolling in the $$$ myself. Irish people value independence including financial independence and Irish women are no exception...in fact I'd say we differ from a huge amount of nationalities on that front.
