    Pretty shit post just on Metal Notes Facebook page

    It is with a heavy heart that i have to confirm that Metal Notes will cease on March 10th. There has been an enormous restucturing within Phantom and almost all shows have been cancelled.
    The last 17 years have been a blast and i want to thank you all for your support during this time.
    Keep it Metal !

    Wow! 17 years. Usually checked out the show if I was at home and Ray always had a fairly eclectic playlist. Exposure given to music that wouldn't get much airplay on other stations.

    Hopefully you'll get a similar gig on another station/time slot, Ray. :)

    I just checked out his FB page and it seems Phantom is likely to stop and could go under a new name.
    This is madness.
    Surely another station will pick up metal notes ?!?

    On 2XM apparently. Would've assumed TXFM would've relaunched it given the relationship with Phantom. Will it be the same format? An expanded format incorporating band interviews and studio sessions promoting local and international Metal would be a welcome addition. Overall, well done for getting some more Metal back on the airwaves.
