Got kicked off live, couldn't sign in again, got loads of weird and highly informative error messages, such as "We don't know what happened there. Try again later".

Yes everything is meant to be down, see the comments here http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/xbox.com.html , netflix is down, everything globally.
This is not deliberate i'd say.

I am on live on the 360
also I am watching netflix :pac:

I see some clowns are trying to profiteer on Adverts already.

One lad has a post up for the FIFA edition for a small E120 over the RRP.
Up for 5 hours, can't believe it wasn't reported and pulled in that time.

Another lad selling the Forza edition with COD and BF4 for E110 per game on top of the RRP.(E720).

Alright peeps, enjoy your new consoles tonight.
I'll be playing halo 4 on my 360, if I can get online - otherwise it'll be dead space

Unless the XBL servers come back up everyone getting the X1 tonight will have a brick till whenever someone flips the switch and turns them back on. The servers are going to take some hammering with everyone in Europe and then the US 6-7 hours later all getting the day one update. It's going to be crazy.

Not quite. The page isn't loading properly for me. Outlook.com is working fine and has been for the last at least 20 minutes though.

Appalling review for the One on silicon republic:

"But integrating Xbox One with TV set-top boxes was a masterstroke."

    http://www.siliconrepublic.com/digital-life/item/34918-review-xbox-one-games/

A feature you can't use or review is master stroke?

The abysmal journalism aside, maybe the incessant spec/navel gazing that has gripped the net for the last five months will be irrelevant for most people once they see Ryse/FIFA etc.

At an event earlier and people were blown away by FIFA on the one. Even kinect sports had people gushing at the next gen graphics etc.

Anyone having problems with the update connect the One directly to your router via ethernet. Was touch and go there for a minute! :P

    Worried.

I have 6 meg connection only, its flying for me 20 per cent in just two minutes.

Edit, its beginning to slow up now at 36 per cent.

The bar doesn't move at a specific speed. It varies, regardless of internet speed.

Leave it do it's thing. It'll probably jump 30% in a matter of moments.

just back from smyths and starting the upgrade process. Not much of a crowd out there, couple of lads turned away as they didnt have a pre-order and no extra stock was available.
Battlefield 4 came with the "china rising" dlc aswell :)
