Yea, but as someone mentioned earlier, it a 'pet' for D.O.B. he'll keep bankrolling it and save it from mentioning any judicial inquiries!

    JNLR to Appoint Independent Auditors

The committee that oversees the Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) is to appoint an independent auditor to review the quarterly figures. The review follows a number of complaints from different Dublin-based radio stations.
The JNLR research is carried out by IPSOS MRBI on a quarterly basis. It is understood that some of the Dublin-based stations, including a number of stations within Denis O'Brien's Communicorp Group, have expressed their concern about the fluctuations in their respective figures over the last year.
Although the independent auditors have not been appointed it is understood that they will be asked to examine the reasons for the inconsistencies and fluctuations, make suggestions as to how they can be ironed out and whether or not the quarterly reporting structure that's currently in place is the best way to proceed.
"You will always get radio stations complaining about the figures for a variety of reasons, particularly in the competitive Dublin market, but I don't think it's the quality of the data that's the issue. Maybe things like the sampling size needs to be increased or we need fewer reports a year. So it's no harm having an independent review of where we're at given that the market is still quite difficult," says one source who declined to be named.

That story is about two years old. The independent review has been carried out and changes implemented (the sample size in Dublin this year is bigger)

Overall numbers look bad for DO'B. Is his company starting to disengage from Irish market. One can only speculate as to which of his stations are funding which and honestly Newstalks figures are incredibly weak

    As for 2fm - oh dear ..........

Another item from the adworld site:
"2FM's performance remains static with its all adult figure remaining at 11%," says Oilbhe Doyle of media agency OMD. "The real pressure point for this station continues to be Tubridy's marked declines. In the last 2 years he has lost 56,000 listeners. This has been mitigated to some degree by the improvements in the other shows. Whilst Hector, Will Leahy and Dave Fanning have all recorded gains, the station's momentum will continue to be driven by the performance of the mid morning slot. No doubt Montrose bosses are continually grasping with this issue," she adds.
And inexplicably, continuing to try and make radio presenter out of him.

Belatedly came across this outrageous bit of JNLR spinning. @RTERadio1 tweeted...

Saturday with Claire Byrne debuts in Top 20 most-listened-to programmes at No 17. Well donecebyrne #JNLR #womenonair

    To which Byrne gushes back...

Thank you! thrilled! MT @RTERadio1: Saturday with Claire Byrne debuts in Top 20 most-listened-to at No 17. Well done @cebyrne #JNLR

...but if you look at the actual figures you'll find that that slot has, in fact, lost 40,000 listeners and dropped down two places in the top 20. Claire Byrnes rise and rise through the ranks of RTE is a very mysterious thing. #womenonair.

Jasus Tubbers down to his last 160,000 listeners, or the same as World Report which goes out at 8.00 am on Sunday morning when all decent people are still asleep!
What did Gerry Ryan used to get? Was it around 300,000? How the hell are 2fm sticking with Tubbers??

He was popular. I used to listen a good bit, and although he could be annouying at times, it was still overall an entertaining show. I tried a few times to listen to tubrity, but he really comes across bad. Doesn't seem natural on the radio, very forced and fake. Throw in smugness, sort of air of superiority. I've no idea how he's on radio or tv, there's absolutly nothing positive I can say about the guy. If he didn't have the relations/family he had he'd never have been let near a microphone in RTE.

This is the quarter hour segments for Q1 for four years - two with G Ryan surveyed ('09 and '10) and the two after his death.

If a picture paints a 1000 words then it does a good job.
