RTE radio 1 cheaper alternatives

Interested to hear people's views on who they reckon could or should replace the dinosaurs in montrose and do an equally good if not better job and for less money. Take Sean o Rourke for example, was on 219k in 2009 , I reckon Newstalk's Jonathan Healy could be a more than adequate replacement. Any other suggestion for…

I think Claire Byrne is also very poor. It is clear that rte are trying to promote her, but the lack of subject knowledge and broadcast talent stands in the way.

It wont make a difference , if the powers that be have annointed her as a great white hope of montrose broadcasting she will be fasttracked to the top regardless. Might I ad, she is the only 'new' thing about the new look primetime. Miriam and kenny have been in rte for the guts of 60 years between them, the only thing new about primetime is kenny's armani suit.
