    Poll options inspired by FFS.

Tough one to call this week I reckon. Haven't made my mind up yet though Suarez, Van Persie, Ba and Tevez (if he plays) look solid picks.

I'm going for Cazorla in case Tevez doesnt start.

I rarely go with who I vote for, Tevez at the moment but very worried that he'll only get 20mins.

Are people with Aguero going to captain him? Id love to but Im afraid he might not start, Ill probably chance it anyway though.

Am I mad to go with Ba at home to QPR?

Especially with Ben Arfa and Cabaye absent?

If you're spending on Aguero over Tevez then you gotta have faith in him starting. I'd give him the armband if I had him.

Of course it could work out, but its a big gamble imo.

Swiper's on Suarez, everyone do the opposite!

i'm thinking silva at the moment.

    Aguero – Reading (H)
Given how Reading defended against Arsenal city could destroy them too, Tevez all the way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,468 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Silva for me.

    yes, i might be crazy.

    Aguero – Reading (H)
Tevez is a huge rotation risk, especially given this week, as Mancini could use it as a rest week for the big guns.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

    Rooney – Swansea (A)
RVP, don't fancy gambling on Tevez or Silva.

    Berbatov – Liverpool (A)
Someone I have who I reckon could have a big week is Puncheon (Lallana being out will mean there is a bigger onus on him to threaten), but I don't think I have the liathroidi to captain him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

    Rooney – Swansea (A)
Obviously would like to chance Silva and Cazorla but have jumped 200k in the rankings last few weeks Capt RVP so probably gonna leave it at that with Silva VC

Would be crazy to captain him.

Captain choice should go to who is most likely to pull in a big return, not a gamble on who could be the biggest scorer!

If Llama performs then just be happy with him as a differential.

Tevez for me. Sure he's a rotation risk but the bigger risk is the rodgering he could give the Reading defence if he starts IMO, which I think he will.

    or maybe RVP?

    Mancini fúcking with me.

i may chicken out of Silva so that I know my captain is definitely playing pretty much a full game.

I am debating Silva or RVP also. Silva will play close to a full game so that dont really bother me, its will Silva outscore RVP. If Man Utd were 2-0 or something up after 60-70 mins Fergie might take off RVP with the busy few days that lie ahead, it applys both ways really.

Was going to go with Tevez, but he may only get a cameo role. At least Suarez will definitely start, so I have gone with him

I see alot of reluctantcy about people capt Tevez as he might be rested. But as FFS podcast also said, wont be a surprise if he still scores well from bench.. city will have alot to spare tomorrow

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,264 ✭✭✭✭manual_man

    Berbatov – Liverpool (A)
seems about 50-50 on tevez and rvp, but i bet alot of those on tevez will choke and change to rvp last minute

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,295 ✭✭✭slingerz

I think Silva could be a good differential as captain tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

Ballotelli out with a virus tomorrow so gives Aguero / Tevez more chance of starting. With Nasri out theres probably a chance Aguero Tevez and Dzeko will all start. Would love to captain Aguero but will prob stick with rvp.

I'd opt for Aguero over Tevez for tomorrow tbh. Its been a stop start season for him but I do feel he's a better goalscorer than Tevez. Anyway, I'd say it's a no-brainer to pick a City striker as captain. I dont have either right now so i'm choosing between:

    RVP
    Suarez
    Defoe
    Silva
    Cazorla
    Michu

Silva isnt usually a massive scorer, i prefer picking strikers who have the potential to do serious damage. Usually when i'm in two minds I just go with RVP.

But my gut feeling now is Suarez tbh! Fulham looked awful last week at QPR and bar the odd away game, thats how they tend to be.

I'm torn between Tevez & RVP, as things go in Manciniland, rotation is a problem so I think I'll stick with RVP.

Oh & Berbatov to get a hattrick at Anfield;)

    Giroud – Wigan (A)
Cazorla for me. If Arsenal start with the same line up as against Reading, he could have a field day again against an injury hit Wigan side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,141 ✭✭✭Santi101

Tbh I wouldnt even have to think if I had Aguero/Tevez, absolute no-brainer to captain them this weekend.

    Think Mancini will start both.

Mancini said that Balotelli will get another chance, wonder if it's this weekend? Although I've a feeling he might go with Tevez & Aguero, they are his most effective strike force.

I'd be surprised if Mancini changed the attack tomorrow, there will surely be rotation by most sides over the Xmas games but I dont see much tomorrow by City, United, Arsenal etc. And City do have a few away games coming up which might require a different option like Dzeko in attack perhaps. Could be wrong.

Reading are so bad Mancini could probably play 3 of his 4 strikers.

    Going with Silva. RVP (vice-captain)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,174 ✭✭✭Dearg81

Aguero, I can see him banging in a hattrick tomorrow.

Ballotelli out Tevez should start. Doesn't mean that RVP won't be the correct choice

If Tevez starts, he has to run riot......right?!?

No matter what choice I make, it will be the wrong one. :p

You could say city ran riot last week without Tevez scoring but he could have had a hatfull

I've had it on silva since I bought him early in the week......I'm beginning to get twitchy :D I've an awful feeling reading will be a hell of a lot more stubborn than we all expect.
My default captain has been RVP.....other 2 strikers are Ba and Suarez

Agreed, mine has been Tevez all week and even though the RVP jitters are starting to hit i am going to keep it on Tevez..

RVP, then Tevez for a few days, then Silva, now Tevez, prompted by the probably false belief that with Balo out, Tevez may get penalties.
