Having just been involved a few weeks ago in a traffic accident I've decided I definitely want to get a dash cam installed but I don't want wires etc visible.
Could anyone please recommend a place in Galway or Clare that can make it integrated or hard wired into the car so it just comes on automatically when engine starts.

Halfords down that way at all? They installed mine for me and it comes on with the engine, think it was €15 to install and took them no time at all, definitely recommend

This is a very fun car that I've had the privilege to drive for the past 18 years. But over the past year or so, it is more and more apparent that it is no longer suitable so I need to upsize.
It's an ideal weekend/summer car - and needs a bit of work to get through the NCT.

Selling our Ford Galaxy 7 seater as our kids are all a bit older now and we don't need it.

Sailed through the NCT yesterday so NCT'd until July 2020.

I've had the idea of a dashcam for a while, so bit the bullet today, picking the below model up. I'll report back when I have it up and running, but specs and reviews look good for the price.

Here's first video of Voyager 212 I bought in Lidl a few backs... usual roundabout shenanigans. Happy with quality so far... it records in .mov format in 3 minute blocks. The Voyager software is simple enough for me to use, seems reasonably quick, but adds branding captions to the video and to the end of the video. Not sure if its "Dash cam thread" quality :)

Voyager 212? .. Same thing as a Nextbase 212

With Nextbase you can switch the on-screen Branding on/off ... I assume this should have the same functionality.

It is his editing software that "brands" the clip

The video itself is branded, too.

Top left corner.

It is not added post processing.

Having second thoughts about buying this Black-vue 4K UHD DR900S-2CH after reading this review
'''Keith O Brien: For a top of the line product it has some really annoying problems,
First the quality, it says 4K but honestly on playback it’s nothing fantastic, iPhone/GoPro can easily outperform
Second problem I have is the motion detection every time you get into your car it declares “impact detected in parking mode” big news BlackVue it was me closing the dam door *♂️ , when do you actually know when there was an impact and you need to review footage or check your car????????
I currently have 1120 notifications after little less than a month of use, all from closing the door...
I have it fully connected to WiFi in car and you can’t turn off the notifications for “cloud connected” and “cloud disconnected” so you get to listen to that a hundred times every time you drive! All simple things for BlackVue to fix but they really shouldn’t be problems in the first place on their top line dash cam''
Would anyone agree that has one ??

Selling my BMW 325i M-Sport Coupé. It's too good a car to be left parked up now my new car has arrived. It's taxed and NCT'd and comes with an inch thick folder of service history from BMW over the past 11 years. Come and view it, you might just get yourself a bargain.

Link fixed:

Yes, apparently a re branded Nextbase 212... I'll check to see if there is a setting in the camera. It even says in the branded "tail" at the end of the video "Powered by Nextbase cameras"

Correct - "Voyager" on the top left of the screen is in the source .MOV files from the camera... then the editing software sticks a branded tail on the end of the video.

That's great to hear, I was buying something else, so bought it on a whim after doing a quick search online for reviews.

Due to an expanding family, we need to get something that will take 3 child seats in the back. Car has never given a days bother over the 3 years we have

Hi all,

Have a DDpai M6 Plus hardwired into my car and attached to the windscreen with the supplied 3M Glue Mount.

DDpai-Glue-Mount1531154532.jpg

My windscreen cracked last week so is being replaced so I need to source a new 3M Glue mount and the only place I can find them for sale is on eBay from China with a delivery time of at least 3-4 weeks. I was hoping they'd be for sale on Amazon with quicker delivery but no such luck.

Does anyone know where I could source one a little quicker than an eBay seller in China or is there any way the old mount can be re-used by simply applying some 3M disc shaped tape?

Can someone recommend a simple dashcam and car fitting kit available on Amazon. Nothing fancy needed just clear video and sound.

It is, and it's one of the best ways. The other is to use Dual Lock velcro instead. :)
