    Yeah

Did you see thread titled Choooones?

Imagine comentic surgery advertised in the 80s

Pupil: Ah sir your so ugly (makes face and drags feet)
Teacher: Yes well...... (opens his desk and looks at Rivermedical leaflet)
VO: Rivermedical with its famous comentic techiques mean that you be back to looking like yourself in under 3 hours
Teacher now with a full sex change saunters past the pupils and says
Teacher: Barton see me after school
In the background the lads high five each other
Teacher (walks into detention): What's going to work fast and have a long lasting effect on me Barton (she gives a wink into the camera)
VO: Rivermedical works in hours lasts for a lifetime

    Is that a bit transphobic?

It is a tad Elmo but that was the 80s for ya. Do you think anyone in this forum has an iota of what we're talking about at this point?

Erhmmm dunno I did read up the last few questions actually when I opened the Thread, but I'm quite a bit slow on the old uptake so havn't a clue what ye're talking about!! :o:D But at a very quick glance, there was a sentence with Lads at the end of it so maybe that reminded one of Father Ted and group of priests/lads/boyos/laddos etc?!? :)

What's your favourite episode of Fr. Ted?

The football one, the camping one, the prize car one lots

I used to hate Fr. Ted. It grew on me. Though I still think if RTÉ had done in exactly the same way it would have been axed. And not from religious preservative purely based on critics and the idea RTÉ can do comedy.

    Do you like Mrs. Brown?

Have to say I didn't at first. Thought it would be too over-the-top like the very first few Airings of Travellin' Bernie or Singin' Bernie or whatever in the feic she was called - where the whole programme was just a string of cursing, but Mrs. Brown ain't too bad at all, it's funny sometimes.

    Did you have Crisps today?

Yes like the ones in the pub.

You should veg out some night on novelty ones, mix and match with a video, popcorn, might munch, chipsticks, skips, snaks, pringles, fancy king, keoghs, onion rings, with pickandmix, star bar, moro, twix, twirl. With jd and coke and a nice movie.

    What you think?

American's make the h silent, though in fairness there is no h in spice :pac:

Did you know that the H in hospital should be silent?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,711 ✭✭✭C.K Dexter Haven

Well, there are sick patients in hospitals so they need all the silence they can get:P

    Was that funny?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,742 ✭✭✭✭Wichita Lineman

    No.

Would you ever do a stand up comedy routine?

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 81,168 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sephiroth_dude

I would but I'd probably get tomatoes thrown at me for being not funny.
