Couple of decents right hands by Hyland. Fortuna is cut too.

Fortuna hasn't got an ounce of power left in his shots....Hyland has 2 rounds to break him down. Not impossible.

Best performance of his career by Hyland and he's still going to lose by miles. 118-110 written all over this. But sure don't the paddys love a moral victory

115-113 by one of the judges. Jaysus, I wonder is this a sign of whats coming later on.

good performance by Hyland, just a pity he didnt throw a bit more caution to the wind in the last few rounds and let the punches off when he did manage to get within range.

Really is a pitty Hyland didn't throw more. It looked like when he opened up that he was stopping Fortuna in his tracks. After the 5/6th rounds Fortuna was looking feather fisted, Patrick was never in trouble.

When looks back at the fight he will be a little disappointed that he didn't go for it a bit more in the second half. He was always going to be cautious as this was his first real fight. This fight could be a turning point for him and he and his team will realise that he is not a million miles away from the higher level.

Best of luck to him in the future.

It seems Hyland earned $15k more than Fortuna for that fight.
