I'm telling ya....they did something about 1hr ago. The "game settings have changed" message I got would tell you that. What I don't understand though is, I'm watching people stream now on twitch and they don't seem to be suffering at all

The only thing I have a problem with is that the maps are a bit boring and linear. Almost every map is the same on both sides, within reason. Hopefully the DLC fixes that for me. Very few maps that I actually like. Not many that I hate either, but in previous games there were always 1 or 2 stand out maps that everybody enjoyed...

I agree with the sentiments here - the game is unplayable right now.

To be honest, all the small niggles I usually have with previous COD games about maps/guns/this/that/the other - they don't bother me in the least. The thing that's sucking all the enjoyment out of this is the ****ING LAG COMPENSATION WHY IN THE NAME OF CHRIST WON'T THEY JUST FIX IT ONCE AND FOR ALL?!

The sad part is that if they actually did the right thing, this would be one of the better CODs in my book. I just got a warning on my screen stating that if I don't complete games, then I'll be banned from online play for a time period. This is ridiculous...I ought to send a message to that bald headed pr1ck telling him not to be punishing people for getting frustrated with his shoddy product.

Has anyone noticed that players nowadays have very little confidence to go out and get those kills anymore. They know there's lag comp and it is setting the tone for the match in almost all cases players are a little hesitant to take that risk or two. Some lobbies I get into end up being very conservative altogether. I'm not sure why, most probably school kids under pressure from their friends in class to have good K/D ratios....

Quick question, has anyone got this on PC? And if so what are your experiences with it? I've been thinking of getting rid of it on the 360...quite frankly, it's doing my head in. I'd equate the "fun" I get from it with gauging my own eyeball out with a fork. Thought perhaps it was better on PC after I seen Nanners make the switch. Are their dedicated servers on PC?

I'm almost sure there's dedicated servers on PC. I've heard from a lot of people that the game is almost perfect on PC. There's no lag whatsoever. Seems like its almost faultless but then again there's a bigger chance of hackers.

When I first played through each map I thought the end of campers was near. It's worse then ever. The worst thing is I spend more time trying get them back rather then trying kill others. I agree with poster above who says maps are quite the same. Nearly every map is just basically zig zag map IMO. I still enjoy it overall at moment buy can see myself getting bored sooner then later

Totally agree with this comment. I've never really cared about guns, noobtubes, camping or any tactics used it's not like ya can't exploit them yourself if need be but lag just drives me crazy.

Game seems to have been particularly fun last night, glad I wasn't on. :rolleyes:

Rage quitted a bit not a lot but maybe 2/3 times last weekend, for example. At what point do you get the warning?
I'm generally pretty mad when I RQ so can't imagine my reaction to getting a msg like that, if I do

I pretty sure you only get warnings for dash boarding, not for quitting early. I never get a warning and I leave sh1tloads of games everytime I'm on. When I'm put into carrier, hijacked or the one that's like downturn, i leave instantly. Also if it puts me into a game that's already started. I once quit 12 in a row - no warning.

It was the end of camping. But because so many gob****es were crying about the Uav's they had to nurf it. Now they can all camp again.

I fúking hate this! Why do they do this, i'm not in that much of a hurry to join a game halfway (particularily if its free for all). I often play the gun game and half the time I join the score is already 120-0, sure whats the point! Im running around with a pistol and these lads are on SMGs at that stage.

Should be an option to not join games midway!
Also no death streaks is bollócks!

no, i now get that message (probation) any time i quit early or even when i get kicked ('connection lost to host'). no biggie, it's only a 1min penalty, but annoying because i was only quitting early whenever the lag comp was making it unplayable.

the only handy thing about being thrown into near over games is you can just get a handful of kills and get a 5.0 kd or more :pac: I normally just either wait it out and start into the next game afresh or dick around.

yesterday I was thrown into a domination game on 180 something, grand, not long left, host migration, game ended cos no host found, next lobby was new people, thrown into another almost over game, grrrrr.

Had it once.

That said, from this latest patch I've been hosting nearly every game I'm in, most times the lobbies are all 4 bar with 3 or s yellow and great connections. Not a great deal of lag, but when there is its very small, not worth mentioning.

It can be infuriating, but meh, not worth a RQ over.

You have to dashboard and when you lose connection to host it thinks you've dashboarded for some reason. If you hit start and just select leave game you won't get probation afaik.

I've never dashboarded in my life. Even in previous years, I've never done it even when most people were at it to preserve their stats. For some reason I'd always leave a game and then turn off my comp giving me the bad stat of quitting when I could have just dashboarded. I never done it because I never cared about my stats.

My 360 is close to my PC so if I decide to change it up, I have to remove TV wires from one into the other etc. If I'm turning the XB off from the main is this considered dashboarding? Because I've never pressed the "X" button intentionally to leave a match...does that mean we have to go all the way back to the Main Menu before we can turn off our consoles?! That's so stupid.... :eek:

If I'm getting beaten by a better team then I'll hold my hands up and say congrats but what I can't accept is that in one game I'll get my ass handed to me while in the next match (same players) I'll get 10 more kills than anyone else on the map. Being down on rage quitting is fair enough if a game just isn't going your way, but to be penalised because of a coding problem through no fault of your own is disgraceful.

I've never dashboarded, I didn't even know what that was or that, in the past, some people did it to preserve stats etc. until I read this thread. I promise that you can get those probation messages without dashboarding.

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit late in the conversation but I thought id put my 2c in....

Personally I think blops2 is muck, its too gimmicky and reminds me of a PC game like james bond etc

I've played about 2 hours of it and don't feel the need to play anymore only if I'm bored....I will probably play the campaign and then get really fed up of it.....

Give me COD4 or MW2 any day
