I haven't had tv channels (even rte) for over 10 years, I have the attention spa of a gnat, but I don't give a rats what anyone else does with their spare time.

In fairness, who wouldn't. I've heard it has a certain Hirsuite je-ne-sai-quai.

Oui Oui Madame Pottler, it's all in the name :D
    Is it saorview?

It's Sky+HD, with full entertainment pack

I chose to look at monolithic planks instead of boxes lately...

I'm certainly guilty of this, I spend far too much of my free time watching rubbish or sitting in front of my computer screen. That's not living, I don't want to idle my life away at this crap. My main hobby is mountaineering and hill walking but because my club does most of its activities on weekends I find myself at a loose end after work during the week. I need to take up something new and productive.

Imagine reading a book and every 10 minutes somebody snaps it out of your hand and starts shouting at you about the deals in Harvey Norman. Not even worth it.

I just have developed a dislike of people lately so I prefer to stay home and get lost in the endless rabbit hole of the internet lately...

    You have a nice box!

Why thank you!! But in fairness, you're not the first to say it

I am absolutely not watching too much TV and I'm sure that Sookie, Ted Moseby, Sheldon Cooper and Agent Rossi would agree with me.

I was getting off the internet to do an assignment 4 hours ago. Now I'm telling myself I'm going to bounce out of bed in the morning and fly through it while eating my breakfast. Right now this seems almost realistic. It's not.

I despise people who spend hours sitting down in front of the tv watching all kinds of garbage. These days i would much rather read a good book than spend time looking at my box. I'm beginning to think Ted was right and tv really is chewing gum for the eyes. How do you stand on this issue?
So you spend hours sitting reading a book instead

According to the OP, reading a book is better than watching garbage on TV. I'd love to know what s/he is reading and what s/he defines as garbage. The OP might be feeling all superior as they tuck into the latest Jackie Collins meanwhile I am watching Discovery.
