A real wintery day here, hazy sunshine and peaked at 2.3c. first day its been dry for ages.

We had a low of -2.3C overnight. The fog barley lifted today and the temperature has struggled to get above 2C. Currently 1.8C and calm.

Drove south to Waterville from Glen of the Downs and hit -1 not far beyond Naas at 15.30. Steady at 0 through Limerick and into Kerry. Dropped away to -2 as road rose before and after Abbeyfeale. Steady at 0 through Killorglin but dropped again sharply along coast road and at steady at -1 all the way out through Glenbeigh.
Lot of cold air about and -2 at 19.30 is pretty unusual anywhere along the coast in Kerry. Was one sleet/snow shower near Nenagh
