I'm taking the kids trick or treating then I'm off to a fancy dress house party.
I've the shell suit, blonde wig, jangly jewelry & big fat cigar sorted.
Am I good to go or have a crossed a line ?.

Not inappropriate, just unoriginal and tired.

And maybe don't wear it trick or treating with the kids....

crossed the line imo....l just think it would be very disrespectful for the victims, yeah their not going to see you but l wouldn't find it a laughing matter.

It's inappropriate that you own a shell suit.

just stay clear of the kids

    Why not?

People that get offended by costumes at Halloween are a little bit precious.

When MJ died nearly every other person was MJ, same as the Joker from Batman.

It all depends on what the " in " thing is at the time and there'll be a few Jimmy Saville cpstumes around tonight I'd imagine.

Are you bringing the kids to the party for that real authentic Saville look?!??!

Announcing that you're offended is just another way to tell people that you can't control your own emotions.

If you want to dress up as someone who likes to put their hand up young birds without offending anyone, just go as Rod Hull.

Go as Hitler, like any normal person.

I saw two at the weekend. It's an easy costume - shell suit, blond wig, fake gold chains and cigar.

A mate of mine got a box into the jaw for wearing a Jimmy Saville costume. Some overly sensitive buffoon took it upon himself to attack my friend for wearing a costume of a monster on Halloween.

I heard off a mate of mine in the UK about a friend of hers, who went out at the weekend with the GF....

He was Jimmy Saville, the GF dressed as a schoolgirl...

Very iappropriate but so tasteless its funny

Roger said he would have stepped down from his Children in Need role if Savile had been involved.
He said: “A guy with a big cigar in his mouth, a string vest, who is covered in gold chains and trinkets — is this really the guy who we want to become a hero for kids?
“I had no evidence but I found that his behaviour was very strange.

    Good description for your costume.

    Hey,

Can someone tell me what everyone on the radio is talking about with regards to Ballyfermot tonight. Anytime they are talking about it I just catch the end.

What are people saying is going to happen?

Something about bonfires and if you are in Ballyfermot not to bother calling cops or fire brigade because the emergency services don't want to be stabbed :pac:

The hunt the weakest guy in the town for a while, often letting him get away just for the fun of continuing the chase, and then catch him and kill him and burn his corpse.

It could be worse, you could wear a Brian Cowen or Bertie Ahern face mask and be more unpopular.

I'm dressing up as Katie Taylor tonight which gives me free reign to box the head off those who dress up as that paedo Saville.

Better to be seen as Jimmy Saville than to be like this poor misguided Boardsie. :D

You've crossed the line with me, for you've just described my good lady wife, yes even the cigar.

So I made a vow to myself that Im not answering the door to anybody this halloween. I dont have sweets to be handing out every 5 minutes and I also dont want to be running down the stairs every 5 minutes either.

I just heard my door bell ring, and I wondered who could that be?
Went down, 3 little dirty trick or treaters with their bags open and smiles on their faces.
I desperately scoured my press to find 3 bags of low fat crisps that I havent eaten in months (I dont like crisps). If it wasnt for those 3 bags, I would have had absolutely nothing to give them! Imagine that "sorry......i dont actually have any food in my house."

I wasnt expecting trick or treaters until it got dark. The little cnuts tricked me! I aint answering the door to anybody now!

Will you be handing out sweets tonight? No recession in yer houses anyway.

they have been knocking on my door for the last few nights but I haven't answered. I have a big bag of sweets for tonight for when they call. All kinds of hard junky sweets from the Two Euro shop for the children that are bold (:D) and another bag of lovely chocolaty mini bars for the children I like.
Have my house ready to be lit up and my costume ready too - its not just the children that can be frightening.

Usually it's the very young kids who are out this early. Luckily I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment block so there shouldn't be many callers. There are a few kids around the building so I might get one or 2 callers, but I will be out for most of the evening so no point in buying in some sweets!
