Hi lads, I am thinking about changing the stanard trigger on my Remington VSF .223 for an aftermarket trigger, anyone any advise, comments ? on Jewell, Timney or Basix triggers, I read that the Jewell is supposed to be the best, but is it worth the premium price to make it so much better, like everyone now of days before spending money on something I would like opinions please , tks guys :)

My Father did not like the trigger on his Remmy. Could not adjust it below 3 pound. So i changed it out for a Rifle Basix LV-1 trigger kit.

It adjusts between 8 ounces (0.5 pound) - 24 ounces (1.5 pounds). It comes preset at 10 ounces, but he thought this a bit light so i changed it to 16 ounces (1 pound). Heavy enough that you have a good feel, but not too hevy to cause pull when firing.

Price was around the €100 mark IIRC.

From this thread. Might be useful.

I'm sorry to ask this question on your tread but I felt it a little pointless starting a new tread.

Does anyone have any experience changing the trigger on a howa 1500 .223 to an after market trigger and if so what was the trigger?
