So I am here fapping about with a kanger T3 that arrived yesterday. Only got around to playing with it this evening.

Anyone else tried these ? More so anymore have any issues with them ?

Getting a kinda slow drip type leak out of the bottom of it ? Any suggestions on how to fix it or is it a dud ?

No leaks with mine but I do get a weird taste with t3. I use it on an ego mini. 2.4 ohm heads are not really what I'd like to vape on. Until there are lr heads for sale I'll be using my trusted t2.

No leaks with mine either. It's a much cooler vape cos it's bottom coil. I find it best with certain flavours, usually ones that have a mint kick to them.

I do like it for those flavours but overall I think the taste from the T2 is much cleaner

The one I got must be a dud so. Its leaking out the bottom of the connector. One for the wheelie bin :-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

what's the general consensus of this then? should I upgrade from my t2 or wait a while so they can perfect the t3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 699 ✭✭✭sept09baby

Did you get liquid down the central air hole? Disconnect it from the battery and blow through the tip on to some kitchen roll.

The only time clearos I've had leaked was due to that or they need a replacement head. As yours is new I wouldn't say it's the head

The leaking could be the weakness of the T3, the T2 was good at sealing but the wicking inadvertently filtered some of the flavor with defying gravity to get into the coil. With the T3 from looking at the design any flaw in the components could flood it as gravity is acting constantly. However the flavor must be premier league.

I have ordered a couple to play with

I took it apart and reckon it must be one of the little silicon o-ring seals. I have cleared it loads of times and it keeps leaking. Took apart the head and the wick is sitting on top of the coil ? Like there is a small coiled wick and then a larger wick sitting on top of that. Tried to re-seat everything back as good as I could. Filled it up a bit and there was an improvement for a bit. Then the gurgling started again. Ah I not too pushed. Was only trying it cause its new. There are plenty of vivi-nova's / clearomisers / carto-tanks and ego type cartomisers about the house to keep me going :D

if anyone is interested I successfully recoiled a t3 last night. its a bit fiddly but possible. work way better than the way it come. 6 wraps .2 wire can out at 1.5.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

Just did this tonight using cotton pad & twisted wire - very impressed. Took 4 x 10 sec puffs in a row to test it, and no dry hit!
My new go-to for out and about before I stump up the cash for a nice Genesis-style.
    Expensive bastards.

is the cotton a lot better than silica ? I got one of the vh genisus but have pulled out most of my hair since!

I got one during the week too and they are difficult alright. I'll probably sell mine. I've got it working well enough but it's too 'clunky' for me. Filling it is a nightmare compared to the Bulli tank. Vapes well alright though but just not my cup of tea.

I can only compare it to the silica wick/coil that came with it (which tasted gnocchi, couldn't be bothered letting the flavour get better over the course of a tank) but cotton beats every silica wick I've tried to build in the Vivi, RDA or Phoenix.

I've thought about the VH Genesis, but it looks like dual coils would be impossible with it.
I really want a wider, less tall version of the UKVA.

Is the T3 threaded on the inside of the collar, like the T2?? I'm hoping they've moved the threads to the 510 connector??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

    Threaded on the collar. :(

Got one of these recently & it does the business.

I'm a newbe to this, but the T3 is great for vaping.

However, it gurgles when you inhale, a lot. I dosen't leak into the battery area like the iMist.

It leaks internally & sounds like a blocked Jax sometimes.

Having said that, I'll buy more of them, to give it a chance.

    The Jury's still out though..........

Have you actually tried a T2

No, but I might try one out .

Do they perform as well as the T3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

T2 needs to be tipped or vaped tip facing down & the vapour is hotter and a little less flavourful because it's a top coil.
Pretty good otherwise though. Less likely to gurgle.

Got some T3's today, and an ego twist battery. Has anyone found the bottom metal ring getting very hot on the T3?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

    How hot is "very" hot?

A bit warm, or uncomfortable to the touch?

    Is the battery getting hot?

Its not uncomfortable, i can hold it, but its hot as opposed to warm if that makes sense. The battery isnt warm at all, its the bottom of the the kanger, the serrated edge thing just above the battery.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,674 ✭✭✭DirtyBollox

Does it heat up and get warm straight away or is it after a few puffs?

The atomizer is there (i believe) so that might be the cause.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Anyone

Its after a few puffs, I hold the button down and vape a few tokes then exhale, prob holding it for 4-5 secs at a time. I understand how its working, was just a little freaked at the heat.

Is the eGo-CTwist battery auto matic or manual??

    Manual.

Have ordered 2 T'3s today and 5 spare coils, have been using a new mini Nova but the bloody thing drinks the juice faster than I drink Bulmers Light after eating something salty :(
I get the gurgling on the mini but only if I fill it to high, leave a bit of room below the coil and no gurgle.
Was told that the T3 is less gusty on juice than the Nova hope so.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 516 ✭✭✭kiffy

Just juiced up my T3 and getting burnt taste at my normal mini and normal Nova setting of 4.6 on the Provari, does the wick need to soak for a while? have turned down setting to 4.0 and still slight burning taste.
Also noticed juice flavour no where near as good as with the Nova's am I just being impatient or is this the norm for a T3? (only had the juice in it for under 5 mins though)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

I left it there for five minutes, took a couple of non-firing draws, and that's it.

It's much cooler, but I've found the flavour to be far better than the T2 or Vivi. Started noticing more subtle tastes in certain juices too.

Edit: take a couple of primer puffs and you should see a couple of bubbles make their way to the surface. Always ready to vape after I see a few bubbles.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 516 ✭✭✭kiffy

So far not impressed :( with the T3 as you said Grinds cooler vape, but flavour no where near as good as the Nova (a muted taste with both Strawberry Lemonade and Irish cream, my 2 favorites) and big draw with little hit, tried both of them in case one coil wasn't performing but both the same. was looking for an alternative to the Nova as I can see the level dropping in the tank with every puff (ok slight exaggeration but it does guzzle the juice).

When I first tried the T3, there was a burnt taste for the first few puffs, then the muted flavour but over the course of the time I was using it the flavour got a lot better, I find them to be alot better than the T2 that said I never really got on with the T2!

I'll purcy with it and hope it gets better, the lower coil should help constant topping up the Nova's.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 699 ✭✭✭sept09baby

Never got a burnt taste with the T3s but would usually let them soak a while. Was finding it happening all the time with mini novas (but not the standard size). Not an issue with my t2s either once I use the short wicks

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 516 ✭✭✭kiffy

Found out my problem with the T3, still kept getting burnt taste on both of them with different juices, so changed both coils (lucky I ordered 5 spare heads) and both working fine with no burnt taste even at 4.6.

Well I did say not long long ago on another thread I hadn't had any defective gear, but luckily it was something small like 2 coils.

Have to say flavour compared to normal Viva Nova not as good (85% of Viva flavour satisfaction) and about the same (90%) production for vapour and hit.

But I'll purcy with it as the benefits are it doesn't seem to devour the juice as much as the Nova's and I don't have top up the T3 like I do with the Nova because of the bottom coil alway submerged in liq. Though I get less flavour with my Strawberry Lemonade, the Irish Cream tastes just as good as the Nova, will try it with some other juices to compare it.

Well after using the T3 for the weekend (and to quote myself from above) I switched back to my mini Nova early Monday morning at work just to compare it after a weekend of only using the T3. And surprissed myself to find I have gotten used to the cooler vape and the flavour and vapour produced is actually better with the T3 than the Nova (set at 4.6v for both) eek.png and not using anywhere near as much juice as the Nova's (Strawberry Lemonade juice).

So very happy with my Kanger T3's.

Got one of these in the post this morning the kanger twist starter pack, http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/kangtwist.htm,
The instructions were on a little card with pictures, which tbh are brutal if you've never used one before.
Is there a link to a video on how to use these?
    Thanks

@grindle Brillo, thats exactly what i wanted, there is one other question though, is it ok to drink the vodka that is used for cleaning the t3 afterward?

And heres the thing, I got this as a pressy to help my mam off the smokes for christmas, so I've had to set it up to see how it works etc etc. I love it and Ive been off the smokes for 3 months now but now I feel a need to vape lol

If it's just the feeling of the vapour and the flavours that you like, maybe get yourself a kit and some zero-nic juices - you've been off the smokes a good while now, so I dunno about recommending getting addicted again, however harmless it's reckoned to be.

Recommending them to people who've escaped the clutches seems to be a non-P.C. thing to do.
Consider this a finger-wagging of epic proportions if you do start vaping.

Maybe just one more vape, or until I've used up whats left in the clearomizer,
sure what harm could it do :D
    waste not want not afterall

Guys, I had to cancel my order for more T2 heads because I hadn't money in my account. Is there any point switching to a T3? They just seem useless. The vapour isn't as warm, they are harder to top up... Do I stay with my T2 or can someone give me a reason to 'upgrade'?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,026 ✭✭✭grindle

They taste much nicer (to me, der) even though they're cooler, and they never give a dry hit.
I haven't had one dry hit and it's seen at least 50mls through it.
They don't seem that hard to top up for me, just don't fill it to the point that liquid can spill into the air tube.

Does leak very slowly at the bottom though, can get gurgly.

Hi guys, life long smoker except for 7 years off them until '06. I have a few questions for you experienced vapers, if you wouldn't mind answering them?

Have been checking out this thread for a while to inform myself before taking the leap, didn't want to say hello before in case I failed :o Tried to stop with shop bought e-cigs and patches but was failing abysmally! Went ahead and ordered the above from e-smokeireland.eu along with some Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers and juices on 17th. Managed to get up and running after a day of faffing about and watching youtube demos, filling a clearomiser and putting it straight onto the battery without the wick part! etc.. and haven't smoked a real one since :)

The T3 wicks aseems to get a bit clogged/inefficient. Have cleaned them and they work fine for a day or so and then seem to lose effectiveness. What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to change the wicks, or that part easily enough and what would I ask for?

What is the best way to fill the MDCC for max absorbency/experience? I've plugged the bottom with a toothpick and managed to get 4ml in over time. Have also bought a 510 mouth piece (as recommended somewhere else on the forum, I think) to use with them and although the menthol packs a real punch with them, the whiskey cream is a bit insipid, if you get what I mean.

Also, the only setting that seems to give me the TH I like is at max setting on the EgoC battery so getting max 8 hours out of a full charge. Is there a better life battery about the same size and with the button release that you could recommend?

I bought a couple of bottles of juice that I tried a bit of and don't like - is there anywhere to sell or swap?

Also, the only juices I seem to like are whiskey cream or menthol (and I can take or leave the menthol). I've tried the tobacco ones but they taste horrible to me, as do the strawberry, cappucino, chocolate etc.. I know it's all very subjective but can anyone recommend one based on my liking whiskey cream - I don't even drink alcohol so don't know why this is the one I'm enjoying!

Looking forward to any replies, thanks a mill for this forum because I wouldn't have been able to quit the cigs without it!

You can get replacement heads for the kangers. How often you change them is down to how heavy you're vaping and what juices you're using but for a couple of euro they basically give you a brand new kanger!

I'd recommend getting a twist battery - you can move the dial at the bottom to get the kick you want. The larger the battery the longer the life so would go for a 900mah or 1000mah one. They'll be longer than the standard Ego but the benefits are huge. I was a bit taken aback at the size at first but you get used to it so quickly and it feels totally normal to me now.

Haven't used a DCC in ages so will leave that to the experts!

Stick the juices you don't want in to the bargain thread and see if anyone will swap or buy them off you

Is it just a few of these that I need for the T2? It's asking me to select "Resistance".

I was interested in a bigger battery also, but was informed they're twice the size of the standard 650mah.

when you say ''effectiveness'' i'm not really sure what you mean but some thicker or higher VG content liquids don't wick as well in the T3s. there's a few videos on how to remove one of the wicks on the top of the coil to allow the juice flow up to the coil easier - here's a link. fast forward to about 2 mins. although i love his accent so i could listen to him all day :p

they're not that big though - you saw them in my hand and i have small wee chubby hands! they fit in the small case i have, and in my jacket/hoodie pockets.

These are the heads for the T2: http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/t2replacelong.htm

These are the ones for the T3: http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/t3coil.htm

Low resistance = warmer vape but shorter battery life. Try one of each to see which you prefer.

Will post a pic of the difference in size now
