What age can you licence a 243 becouse i no a fala that is 16 and has a shotgun licence and wants to no can he get licenced on a 243 for deer shooting he has loads of permission for deer around 6 farmes would there be a problem getting a licence at his age

From 16 onwards a person can apply for a full license for any firearm. Under 16 they need a training cert which means they cannot use it unsupervised, and cannot store the firearm.

As to problems with him getting it. That is not an answer anyone here can give. it is entirely up to his FO & Super. If they deem him competent, and his reason valid i don't see why not. However what is written in law does not always transcribe to practice as his age could be a factor not only due to the caliber, but with a previous firearm the amount of firearms he has.

IOW it might be a slight battle, but not impossible by any standards.
