Who had their fifteen minutes of fame and adulation and are now forgotten about?

The king for me is Leon Jackson. Also two others I'd mention are The Darkness and The Arctic Monkeys.

    Any others?

The Arctic Monkeys have been going for 10 years, produced 4 albums, headlined Oxegen as recently as last year and played live at the Olympics opening ceremony in London this summer. They might have dropped off your radar after the huge success of their debut but they are far from forgotten!

Kevo, the Dublin lad who was always on The Den when I was growing up.

Someone told me he is now on the gear, I hope that's not true.

pretty sure he works in RTE, on the production team of Monday Night Soccer as they tried to embarass him one night by showing him as a kid on the other side of the cameras

He retired from acting, so it's not the same as being forgotten as such.

    A few spring to mind:

    B*witched
That idiot Brendan who was on X Factor with his USA pants and major mullet
The ginger Donegal dude who was on Blind Date (he might have been a "Brendan" too) and loads of ITV2/TV3 type channel's reality shows thereafter. Kind of like a Daniel O'Donnell after 2 cans of Red Bull

Ashanti and Ja Rule. They used to be in every third song on the idiot box radio stations. The Adeles of their day.

Ja Rule is in prison for the oh so gangster crime of.....tax evasion.

Haha, aye, the young kid and the girl who used to appear in ads that suggested they were being broadcast live, telling people they had to make it down to PC by 11pm to get the offers. Reminded me of that Simpsons where Homer rushes to the phone to buy the microphone from the tv ad after hearing "supplies are limited":)

Bernard Mc Hugh, he's still gigging around these parts! He's a real hit with the ladies ;)

His twitter feed is hilarious. Doesn't give a shít who he offends.

Emma Ledden was on that TV3 find a presenter for Expose a few years back. She runs a media consultancy firm or something similar.

B*witched - the twins tried to make a come back last year. Was dire. I think Sinead runs her own dance school for kids.

your dire. kasabian and the arctic monkeys are keeping music alive over this side of the pond.

anyway for me it would be the kaiser chiefs even though they played the Olympics closing ceremony (they had to play a song by the who), Franz Ferdinand and james blunt
