FTB Server: Warning to anyone thinking of going to The End, there definitely seems to be a bug where users of jetpacks (or at least the Advanced Jetpack) will randomly get teleported from normal altitudes to -100y, resulting in near-instant death and deletion of all items.

Personal nether portals are allowed but an admin must set it up for you.

Hey everyone! I was recently whitelisted, and am a total Minecraft/FTB newb! I have a few hours under my belt in mt own world, but reckon the community thing will be a lot more fun. I tried the /rules command, but it isn't being recognised. What are the rules? Is there a page I can check? I don't want to wreck or mess with anyone's stuff. Builds seem to be spaced out pretty well, but I'm totally lost as to what to do.

Are you thinking of playing on the vanilla server or FTB? Rules would be different in either place. On the vanilla server there are rules on the wall at spawn. FTB, you'd have to get a more specific answer from someone who actually knows what they're talking about

Hah! Thanks Laura I'm on FTB. Not to worry though, I met a few people on it today, got a bit of help and lots of advice (even learned a lesson about server being on Hard, and hunger being quite the serious issue...)

I ran the map files through a cleanser, which will hopefully fix the crashing issues. There may be some unintended side effects however.

Server is back up as well.

oh just so you know, player.dat files are gone on the survival server, but at least the animals are gone... all the animals, including the ones in captivity...

Hey guys, I noticed on the FTB server, everyone seems very spread out and we don't really get to see each others stuff much! So we should all throw up a few pictures of our creations! I'll put mine up later, still haven't really built much but it's in progress!

Just logged in and there were about 20 wisps around my place, and it's lagging like hell, even when they're gone! Any idea's of what it could be?

I also changed down the chunk loader, sorry about that Dec, didn't know!

Don't use Thaumcraft. They were there when I first build my base, but haven't been around for a couple of weeks now!

Normal survival is using vanilla minecraft. FTB (Feed the Beast) is a mincraft mod.

Is the FTB server running well lag wise? I used to play back on the tekkit server but it was a nightmare with mob & block lag.

What version of FTB Ultimate are you using? I've been using 1.1.0 for a while so I may have to wait before I go on the server, if you're still using 1.0.1

Ok, a portal or portal gun is causing the crashing. I'm gonna mess with a few things to see if I can fix it.
