Feck, lots of stuff done in the last three days is gone. I've set up a proper backup script now, but unfortunately there's nothing I can do to recover the last few days work.

Also I'm sure he could import it into the new world if that ends up happening.

A few people had a lot more work put in, and it all got wiped. It'd be ridiculous that you get to keep the work you've put in, while someone else loses literally everything.

'Course, that's not to say your house wasn't hit by the **** up too.

It won't. Measures have already been put in place to ensure that this will never happen again.

In short, don't use dev-builds!

yeah my place getting set up was fairly tricky and there is a decent supply of items in the chest but isn't that what minecraft is all about? I wouldn't mind starting again and the thought of redoing 3 days of work (and stuff like helping nim with the snow for example) is a horrible feeling.

Just wondering with all the talk of the old maps and imports would it be possible to have a mueseum of old spawns in an area of the map but have world proetct on them so they can't be raided or messed with or would that kill it for memory?

Nah thankfully my house is still here, I wasn't online at the time!

In the interest of fairness though I'm definitely willing to farm mats, donate mats and help people rebuild, I just don't want to lose my house, I'd never be able to rebuild it the same way and I'm super happy with the way its going!

I know it's **** for people who lost their houses, but what difference would a new map make, besides everyone losing what they've already built?

I know when it comes down to it it's the admin's decision, but that's just my two cents.

A reset doesn't make sense to me, surely its easier rebuild half a house than build a full one?
