Aren't Thursdays the worst ever for footie betting ? .. Friday morning is a whole different league as Israeli football offers some great value. Soccerway have started stating Liga Alef and you can generally find a bit of treasure here.
Still early days with only 8 games gone, but it's enough to get a feel for the pattern of games.
Kiryat Malachi v Kfar Kasem Alef South @ 11.00 am
Bottom of the table teams early season can tend to belie the fact that they're a good bit better than the stats suggest - think Newcastle 6 games ago. Malachi fit that mould and are a mid table mediocrity outfit. Their home form isn't spectacular but should be strong enough to see off a team with only 1 away win going back 14 games (1-4-9). Kiryat Malachi @ 2/1 is a strong bet.
Then of course we have goals, which there should be a few of with only a slight question mark over Kfar Kasems ability to bring more than 1 to the party (4 goals in 4 aways. conceding 9). No markets at the moment but I'll be looking to BTTS, BTTS FH & Overs. Ta

I took the bus to town today with 2 clear goals in my mind -
(1) TO WIN/FIND MONEY
(2) TO FINALISE MY WORLD CUP STICKER ALBUM AND FINALLY GET THE ILLUSIVE DALEY BLIND
......... And hopefully I have done just that.
WEDNESDAY THE 12TH FEBUARY 2003 - Sporting enthusiasts will forever remember this day as probably the greatest sporting day in Irish history. I for one will never forget it, that day a sporting great was made, CLINTON MORRISON.
It was the day the Irish took down the formidable and great Scotland team IN THEIR OWN BACK YARD, the cathedral of Glasgow, Hamden park.
SCOTLAND 0-2 IRELAND
"The greatest result in Irelands history" - Jimmy Magee
"that day I was no longer a black gangster, i was a freckly ginger **** from finglas" - clinton Morrison
"I am proud to call Clinton my son" - Van Morrison
I firmly believe Ireland can re create the magic of that day and beat the mighty scots once again in their back yard, as you all know clinton went on to achieve so much in his glittering career, currently Colchester towns most promising player with an outstanding goals tally this season 2 goals scored for only 1500 minutes played.
goal scorers dont come much better than this kid.
Im feeling nostalgic and optimistic, I feel we can re create the magic of Glasgow 2003 the greatest day in Irish sport
I know people will call me a fool, "that was then this is now" .... The team was so much better back then, names that rolled off the tongue As far afield as COlombia were at the fore of the probably the greatest ever Irish team

it was no luck that day that we beat the indomitable Scotch. The team has changed significantly since then, its hard to see how the current crop of Irish stars can imitate this unimaginable feat, many manager has come and gone in this time and they all inevitably felt the wrath of the FAI sword - staunton, Trap, noel king.... they can be forgiven as they faced a unattainable task in replacing the greatest Irish team ever.
I strongly feel O'neil is truely on his way to building a team that can come close to the 2003 squad. It will be tough BUT IT CAN BE DONE
