Holding out for brunch as I have to go to work, will be making Potato cakes, smoked bacon, mushrooms & poached egg plus a rocket salad if I can get away with it, himself just may object, just remembered I also have divine baby plum tomatoes, it will do me until I get home from work then,

    Sure :)

    350g self raising flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    1tsp baking powder
    175ml buttermilk
    85g butter
    2tbs caster sugar
    Egg to glaze
    Oven 220

Sift flour, salt and baking powder together. Rub in butter to breadcrumbs . Stir in sugar and then make a well. Add buttermilk and bring together quickly using a knife. Turn out onto flour and with as little handling as possible bring together and leave about 3cm thick. Cut out and glaze.

Place in oven for about 15min.

Toasted Vienna roll (Clarke's bakery in Cabra, I love you) with dark chocolate almond butter with dark chocolate chips. This was my treat slice. I, of course, started with a healthy slice with loads of butter. #eatclean

I was a big fat pig this morning as had French toast with berries and maple syrup, 2 sausages (which got a good dunking in the maple syrup too) and a large cappuccino with 2 sugars and chocolate on top.

I took the morning off work for a dentist appointment and there is a fab café conveniently placed next door - I still had an hour to kill so I thought - F it!

I had just been told I need 4 wisdom teeth out at a cost of €1000 so the breakfast helped me to overcome my sorrows :p

Hottokoken, a varient of American pancakes. I tried them with 50% ground almonds, but it's not worth doing; it makes them grainy.

I had a rather exotic breakfast for me. I had 2 duck eggs scrambled, Irish smoked salmon and chestnut mushrooms. It was delish. I am off work today and when I got the eggs from a neighbour yesterday I just knew it had to be a special breakfast.
