I have an amazing, soft, warm, gooey, fresh-out-of-the-oven cinnamon roll in my bag. We had no milk for cereal, so what's a gal to do? :D I'm not allowing myself eat it until I'm at my desk but holy god I'd say the whole bus can smell it!

You have amazing self control - if that was me, it would be scoffed before I even made it to the bus stop

Fried egg (nice and runny) with a mountain of fried potatoes and soda bread. So good.

Went for brunch in San Lorenzo's yesterday, and it was absolutely fantabulous!
I opted for the pulled ham hock potato cakes with poached eggs, and was served with home fries, watercress and mustard.
I also had a very naughty Hendricks G&T to wash it down.

Looks amazing but pulled ham hock potato cakes? I think the 'pulled' vogue has officially jumped the shark! :pac:

Got the slow cooker out and he made porridge with maple syrup and dried fruit.

Had never use/had pinhead oats before. Really tasty.

I added some crystalised ginger to my usual raisin and cranberry porridge because I've been trying to decide what to do with it since I learned the hard way that crystalised ginger Is Not A Snack. It was really, really good; a nice pick-me-up.

Peanuts and chocolate :( I don't feel too well now. Why do I do it to myself?! Who wakes up craving peanuts and chocolate?!

A poached egg on toasted chia bread, with marmalade to finish my last piece of toast when the egg was all gone.

Scrambled egg. I used greek yogurt instead of milk and added some feta cheese. Ripe avocado on the side. Yummy!

Did you make the chia bread, or buy it?
If homemade, what's your recipe? :-)

I had my usual winter breakfast - coffee and a bowl porridge with mashed banana and cinnamon mixed through.

Ah no, it's only Brennan's chia bread. I did make a lovely tear & share garlic bread for with tonight's lasagna though :)

Inspired by this, I made banana-egg-ground almond pancakes this morning.

Did the top of the porridge not go all crusty on top? I tried it a month ago, and could eat it at all. Had to bin the pot.

Every time I've made oats in the slow cooker they've come out brown and burnt and inedible, even on the lowest setting.

I had some amazing granola in a posh hotel in Toronto. It was roasted almond & dark chocolate granola and I have been thinking about it ever since - so I tried to recreate it. I may have done a bang-up job.

    CHOCOLATE FOR BREAKFAST!

Pancake Tuesday continued on to Pancake Wednesday. Sauteed mushroom with spinach and parmesan filling.

Two slices of toast with lashings of Nutella, I knew buying Nutella would be a bad idea, it's like a drug.

Well that's weirdly coincidental! We were vaguely gabbing about where nutella/ferrero rocher/kinder stuff etc. came from last night and wondering what kind of mad genius was behind it all and now I know :) Thanks!

I actually saw the report of his death on a BBC News App item a few days ago which also pointed out that his death came only days after World Nutella Day http://www.nutelladay.com/ which I'd never heard of either :)
