I am quiet confused over this sahin deal, I still think we needed to sign a midfielder who can break up the play, I know sahin to be a fantastic footballer but is he what we needed??? Plus if we do miss out Wenger will have someone else in mind

I think they wanted rid. Something's lined up though. We could easily have gotten the same for Song next season so if he's out the door, I'm guessing Wenger knows who's coming in.

I wonder.
If that was the case then why bid for Sahin at all?
We have a week left to get a good holding midfielder and we definitely need one before we meet the "footballing" teams. I can't see any good reason for pussy-footing around Sahin if we had someone else lined up.
