What's odd is everything seemed to be agreed, his medical and photo shoot were booked for Monday afternoon
With all that booked its like a deal was agreed
    Then something happened

To be fair mate that is the word of AFCamden on twitter. No doubt the guy is connected to the club and he has called most of the summer but you can't take what he says as gospel.

Not just him came from some very reliable people, DarrenArsenal1 was another who said it, and he is usually usually right too

A midfield of Sahin Allen and Lucas sitting
Makes Liverpool a very big threat in my opinion

The who plays centre-back issue is resolved. Kos is not yet fully recovered so it'll be Mert and Verm.

"reliable source" usually means plucked from someone's ass.

Where are people getting their news on this??

    Guardian and Brendan Rodgers.

As long as there are other targets its not the end of the world

it only takes one semi reliable twitter user to start a snowball...

I am quiet confused over this sahin deal, I still think we needed to sign a midfielder who can break up the play, I know sahin to be a fantastic footballer but is he what we needed??? Plus if we do miss out Wenger will have someone else in mind

Bbc reporting that Liverpool have a £14 million option to buy clause in the loan deal. Won't be happy If that's the case..

Apparently the snag was yous would only pay 60% of the wages whereas we'd pay 70%

We probably haggled too much over that fiver again.

Jamie Sanderson also saying there's a 5m loan fee. Seems a bit much.

Jamie Sandersson reporting that real wanted in the region of £5m as a loan fee as well as the £14m and We were not prepared to pay that much.

Well in that case we were right, sure we only sold song for 15. 19 for sahin way too much, hope I'm not proven wrong over that.

Song for £15m was ridiculously low

On paper yes, if he was set on leaving then good riddance. The list of players his agent manages makes me happy that the club has no involvement with him anymore and hopefully won't in future.

I think they wanted rid. Something's lined up though. We could easily have gotten the same for Song next season so if he's out the door, I'm guessing Wenger knows who's coming in.

    I wonder.
If that was the case then why bid for Sahin at all?
We have a week left to get a good holding midfielder and we definitely need one before we meet the "footballing" teams. I can't see any good reason for pussy-footing around Sahin if we had someone else lined up.

If there is no option to buy with Sahin I think we should look elsewhere anyway. Very good player but it wouldn't sit well developing a player for Real Madrid without an option to buy.

Why? Ye have been doing it for Barca and City for a few years now, why should Real be any different?

Afraid you've picked me up wrong. I was asking a genuine question. Why would Arsenal not want Sahin even til the end of the season until Wilshere is fully fit?

    No you weren't.

Ye must be well stocked in central midfield this season to be able to turn him down so. Expecting Diaby to step up?
