I was over in the chelsea forum there yesterday. Most of 'em are full sure they'll have ye for breakfast. They also think they're gonna win the league though...:pac:

    2-1 arsenal sounds likely enough.

Tricky game, good news is no Drogba, bad news is Hazard could possibly destroy Gibbs/Jenkinson.

    I'll go 2-2

Sagna training very well and challenging for his position in the next week along with Jack.
    We're looking very strong now.
    2--1 against Chelsea I think.

You were in the wrong forum I'd say.

I for one would gladly take a draw now at the Emirates and also theres not many if anyone of us said we'd win the league.

Can we, of course we can.
Will we, thats another scenairo and I dont think we will but I'd be happy with a top4 finish and push on for next year but i wnats us to be competitive.

RDM's major downfall is not taking points from our rivals.

I think both Chelsea & Arsenal are in good positions, most people are declaring City & Utd as the major contenders and they are, but both of us could easily go on a run and push either all the way and maybe pip them to the league.

Anyway, G'luck for tomorrow, should be a cracker. ;)

Team for tomorrow? I think there are 2 big calls to make, Met or Kos (assuming TV is back whicj I think he is) and Ramsey or Walcott.
I reckon he will go with Mert and Walcott, Mert has been excellent so far this season and Walcott scored 2 nice goals midweek and likes playing Chelski

    Schez
    Jenks--Mert----TV----Gibbs
    Diaby--Arteta

    Happy Gilmore
    Walcott---Gervinho----Podolski

Szcz is out for 3 weeks for a start. As you say Wally might get the nod as Chelsea are one of the teams he plays well against.

What does Mertesacker have to do to convince lazy pundits? Listened to Robbie Savage last week (I know) slate him as being not great and then Giles on Off the Ball last night said he was no use. Fair enough he's slow, but apart from McClean scoring for Sunderland last season I cant remember him being turned and outpaced for a goal. He's been brilliant this season so far, his reading of the game is excellent and makes up for his lack of speed.

I hope he continues to show this form and makes hacks swallow their words.

I'd keep out two best CB's together, Kos and Mert.

It's funny because before him was Senderos, Cygan, Silvestre, Djourou.
Mert has been a breath of fresh air compared to that lot.

    Silvestre.

    What was that about?

He's also miles better than Kolo Toure.

Senderos wasn't bad at the start, then drogba made him his b1tch and he was never the same after it.

Cygan i still have nightmares, i remember 1-0 up with 5 mins to go, wenger brings on cygan and sticks hi at lb, suddenly all united attacks went down the left and naturally we conceded.

Every one of my mates (all none arsenal fans) won't give him any credit
Don't no what he has to do to convince people

People have formed a perception that he's sh1t.

As a striker, he could score a few goals and catch their attention.

As a defender, his performances go unnoticed, so 'he did nothing' which is not what defending is about.

I think Wenger must have owed Fergie from a bet or something.

7 interceptions against city and he was lucky to be there
    Lucky really 7 times

Same with Kos - there are some people out there who still think he's not up to it.

I don't think the captaincy gives TV any guarantees, I reckon he'll be on the bench for a few games, I reckon le boss might not drop Mert or Kos until one of them gets injured/suspended or needs a rest. Dropping one of them for a big game after they did fine last weekend against City doesn't really strike me as something Wenger would do. No harm anyway, Arteta is more than worthy enough to wear the armband for a few games.

Looking forward to tomorrow, it has been years now since I felt this confident of beating one of the bigger teams.

The only reason I drop mert is for kos and verms ability to nick the ball and charge forward
Once your past Chelsea's attacking players all your facing is the dodgy mikel before your on top of there back 4
I think we could catch them a lot on the break esp if frank and terry are playing

For Mert, just take solace that in the match thread against Liverpool here he was written off before the match by many. According to them the game was in the bag for 'pool as Mert was a liability and Suarez would run rings around him. He was a beast in that game and got MOTM against City. People who reckon he's crap are probably the same ones who reckon Ibrahimovic is also rubbish.
Hmmm, that has me thinking, you don't suppose said critics are all shortarses and are jealous of the tall men?

I was a huge critic of him in his first season for us, but owe how he has changed my mind. A lot of people base their opinions to quickly. Like the way you get people who decide a movie is crap because the first review they read about it said it was bad and they just won't accept that it might actually be god no matter what.
