Tight End for the Cards surely

Todd Heap is gone and they don't have much

Finally I've got an internet connection that is almost good enough to allow me to stream the draft. Delighted with the decision to draft Barkley. Like I said earlier on he isnt a QB that you would immediately associate with the Chip Kelly offence but Kelly will modify his scheme to suit whoever is under centre and over the next couple of years this decision could look very wise for Kelly and the Eagles

Double dip at WR. Love it!

Like Boyce he was one of 3 WR left I thought would be a good fit. Versatile and a good returner also. Good pick.

Delighted with that and really like our pick.

Jags just drafted the (former) best return man in college football!

Granted he will help up, but I am pretty dissappointed that having passed on Barkley outright, they didn't take a Kaseem Greene or Okafor to fill a spot on D.

Seems mad to take a WR with the seasons Blackmon and Shorts III had.

Thing is with Kelly as the guys on NFL Network just said including Brian Kelly is that Chip has used a certain style for a long time with Oregon but he didn't always use the Zone Read offense. He made it his own when he went to Oregon. He will most likely re-design the whole system and adapt to his players. I would almost go out on a limb and say Barkley could earn the starting spot and Bring Vick in on situational plays. Kelly is the right guy to get the best out of Barkley.

Very productive under 3 different QBs the last 3 years in a row too. Hopefully that odes well for him striking up a connection with Tom! :)

As a Longhorns fan and having seen a lot of Okafor I dont have a lot of confidence of him being a big time pick for the Cards. Decent DE in college but he certainly wasnt a Brian Orakpo or some of the other Texas DE/OLB's of the last couple of years

Absolutely. Kelly has been very unfairly boxed in as a quick, no huddle, spread offence kind of guy but when you look at his signing so far with the Eagles he is clearly looking for athletic players that will create mismatches but we will have multiple triple TE sets this season with a big, physical O-Line. I was excited about our prospects this season but the draft has given me even more confidence

I agree and I have to say as a Chip Kelly fan Im kind of excited to see what system he implements. He has the ingredients for a very interesting formula going right now. I hope he succeeds. So many have given him bad rep over his style in Oregon.

Looking forward to seeing who drafts Da'Rick Rogers, they're going to get an absolute gem IMO

    Great pick by the Steelers

Because then they'll be wasting a pick on a guy who they'll simply be replacing next year. It would a be such a stupid decision for the Jags to take a QB.

What? He was unbelievable in the season before last. To take him at the top of the 4th is a minimal risk and they haven't even covered a hole with who they took instead. It's stupid. Gabbert is very, very bad.

    Argh :(
Was happy with the Browns draft so far; wanted one of the QBs that are now gone though

Tyler Wilson to the Raiders. If I was an Oakland fan I'd be pretty happy with that move. He can spend the next year or two behind Matt Flynn and then they can make a decision on his prospects but when he had Bobby Petrino as his coach the Razorbacks backs were superb and he had the look of being an absolute stud

Barrett Jones at 113 is cracking value for the Rams

Another LB for Bears, really wanted a speed receiver since Knox is retired and Hester is gone back to returns.

Does it bother anyone else that they are continuing to talk about Geno to the Jets while you can see the teams actually making picks on the big video screen behind them?

It happened numerous times last night. It's headwrecking. It means they've to spend seconds on players instead of a few minutes.

Smith is more of a conversation because of the QB situation at The Jets. What do they do now with Sanchez, with Tebow

I know, and I get that. But for those of us who watched the build up an hour before the draft, they went in 5 min cycles of "OMG Geno?/Te'o in SD/Why U no Barkley?" for the entire hour. I was hoping the draft starting and them actually having something to talk about would end that. I was wrong.

But we have the next 5 months to talk about that - I want to spend this one weekend looking at the other new prospects.

Vikings drafted Gerald Hodges from PSU, a LB. He's said to be very good and in on every play. Vikings having a nice draft. Continuing a trend from last year.

Nice I love Franklin more then Lacey! Had Jesse Williams been taken yet?

Nice pickup, basically an insurance policy aswell if Lacy's injury problems appear again. Packers get nice value with that pick. And nope Williams is still on the board.

    I don't think so.

Packers are really cleaning up at RB!

    Saw this on twitter:
It seems like the fourth round is when NFL teams start loading up on standout college football players.

Always the same in the draft though isnt it. For all of us that spend every Thursday, Friday and Saturday watching college football through the year it is always amazing how often the players that are college standouts get overlooked because some players "look" the part in the combine. At the top of the draft we had Dion Jordan and Mingo go in the top six even though they were not even the most productive players at their positions in the college teams. Obviously it's always possible that these guys could be studs in the NFL but Golston, Tyson Jackson and numerous other guys of that ilk always make me wary of a kid that excels at the combine
