    Mint Chocolate flavor by myprotein

Tastes like drinking liquid mint aero!

I keep trying to pretend it's one of the MyProtein range, but it's not. ON Double choc is amazing.

I remember having a Maximuscle Cyclone Vanilla back in the day, I can't even begin to describe how completely awful it was.

Solved by adding a double take with bacon in - beef or chicken, you decide.

I actually love the myofusion probiotic banana, it's the only banana flavour I've tried that tastes nice!

The myofusion probiotic chocolate is crap, the vanilla is ok.

    +1 Syntha 6 is tastey

But for indulgence Maximilk Strawberry nom nom nom

Dymatize Elite XT fudge brownie and Dymatize Elite Gourmet swiss chocolate.

MyProtein Choc Mint: only ok with water. Tried it with whole milk for the first time last week and it tasted incredible.

Their choc nut was rank with water, far too sweet.

I got their raspberry a year ago and hated taking it. 2.5kg of pure muck.

The choc mint was the only one I tasted with milk, has anyone noticed a big difference in taste when mixed with milk?

Can I ask if this is the driving factor behind most peoples purchase of a brand ?
    Seems silly if it is.

ended up mixing a bag of raspberry with cookies and cream to get through it, raspberry + cookies and cream isn't great either though.

Makes sense to me if you have different brands with the same nutrients that you'd go for the one which doesn't taste like sawdust!

There always seems to be a "pfffft... pussy" stance around some parts when it comes to people actually liking the taste of what they are consuming!

I've gone through 3 tubs of it and I'd disagree. A lot of flak about it compared to the normal myofusion (which I haven't tried), complaining that the ingredients changed, mixability changed, blah blah blah.

the probiotic makes you fart more, digests really easily (noticeable more so than other proteins I've tried. I normally stick to Optimum Nutrition Gold standard or BSN Syntha 6 but Myofusion probiotic is my new protein of choice.

It's very thick, tastes good (banana in particular) and I like the effect it has on my digestive system (despite extra gas). I've a sensitive enough stomach, having suffered from gastritis a few times, hyperactive thyroid etc so anything that makes my stomach more settled/normal is a good thing. HPnutrition are selling it for 40 something a tub, worth the price.

You are right of course - if the brands had the same nutrients for the same price but there is no way all the brands mentioned are equal, and therefore buying solely on taste is silly.

Can people stop referring to syntha 6 as a protein powder.

    It really irks me.

Of course it tastes nice. Its 50% carbs and fat FFS.

In all fairness, its a 44g scoop with 22g of protein. The other 22g are going to be carbs or fat. They even label it as a MRP

I havent seen it labelled as an MRP. I was aware that half the calories come from fat/carbs but I didn't know it had half protein and half carbs/fat. Funny seeing as I used it for months :P

Still tastes better than everything else!

Well I have a tub of ON strawberry thats not very nice so I mixed it with my Choc Mint ON.

    Turned out pretty tasty.

vanilla ice cream is still my fave as its easiest to drink but it wouldn't have a 'tasty' flavour.

It tastes better than anything else as its full of fat and carbs.

How can you use a product for "months" and never even look at the label to see how much protein there is per scoop etc?

MY protein toffee/vanilla or cookies and cream, put in blender with a heap of ice and a small bit of water; take some freeze dried coffee and plonk it in generously. Hit blend. Enjoy.

The ON choc mint whey is absolutely delicious, it's like drinking a mint crisp or mint aero bar :D

I got the cookies and cream as well and it's nice too, but I sort wish I'd just got two tubs of mint choc.

Can't stand mint choc in shakes though I like mint crisp. Out of the mint choc I've tasted, ON was the best

Could somebody tell me where I can get a low carb protein shake? I bought one some months back in H&B, but theres no flavour in it, it just tastes awful. I would love if I could get something low carb with a strawberry flavour or something like that. I don't understand some of the abbreviations here such as ON etc. A little help would be great :o

    Proteinsdepot.ie

First order is €48 then they give you a 10% discount for your second. Free next day delivery if you order relatively early too. You get a free shaker with your first also.

I know I am right. I find it hilarious that you come into disagree with me and then find you are wrong and use sarcasm as a defense mechanism.

If you are looking for a decent tasting high quality blend I would recommend Reflex peptide fusion (new flavour due out also) or Bulk powders complete blend (banana or choco cookie)

High quality affordable blends (well the BP one is, PF is pricy). I have seen very recent testing confirming their high protein content also.

Head and shoulders above syntha 6 if it is indeed a protein powder one wants.

All protein shakes should be low carb.

What are you carbs. I am assuming it is not a lactose issue?

If it is not a lactose issue then there is no point IMO aiming for ultra low carb powders (isolates). A typical whey protein concentrate product will be fine and cheaper. Recommend the below. Never tried the strawberry flavour but assume it is as nice as the others i have tried.

5 kg is the cheapest way to buy obviously.
