A coke and hookers cruise...

If I was to buy a cruise ship, kit it out with a casino, a highly regulated brothel, a drugs and alcohol bar, park it in international waters and ferry people out and back for dastardly days of debauchery and decadence - would I be breaking any laws?

Would you support my coke and hookers cruise ship? 80 votes

Hell yeah, where can I get tickets?

i dont think you are breaking any laws but police will soon find out and will catch you bringing drugs to the boat at somestage and charge you with that.

The drugs have to be brought to the ship so they would just catch you bring them in that direction but while still in irish/english/whatever waters

The boat will be under the jurisdiction of whatever country it is registered in.

Haven't thought that far ahead yet but now that you mention it...

As it will be in international waters there better be a barn yard swingers theme going on. Mmm bestiality.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,017 ✭✭✭The_Thing

The OP's idea is not as far fetched as it might sound because I actually know an English man who once had his own building company which he sold, with the proceeds he built a yacht, and after it was finished he often hired it out to the local girls to entertain their clients in international waters. All was going well until sex parties in international waters became sex parties on the quay side and he had to call it a day when the locals complained.

I'm thinking of The Boat That Rocked but R rated. Can we do pirate radio while we're at it? Please.

Where to is right, you have to register your ship under a countries flag, you must get written permission to do so from the country in question and register the vessle with them. Once in international waters your governed under that countries laws. Its up to you what countries flag you want to be under and then seek their permission.

I have no idea. Put an ad in the paper? There'd be male hookers there too for the ladies.

I'd be an equal opportunist employer.

actully why cant you just go on one of those translantic cruses and bring you coke and hookers with you. Once in international waters do all the coke and hookers becouse you are not under any law

saves you buying and kitting out your boat

Try an agency maybe. You'd have to make sure they're screened. Some pole dancers would be nice too.

Has to be a sovereign state that allows registration of foreign owned vessels.

You could turn it into a reality TV show and make a fortune. It wouldn't be any worse than some of the sh1te they've been showing on TV3 lately.

Well presumably we are talking one big ass boat here.

You could just set up a lab on the boat and employ some full time chemists to synthesize a lot of the stuff in house.

You could also have sections set up to grow natural things like cannabis etc with grow lamps and a hydroponics set up.

Chuck, that's gotta get me some sort of a position? I'm a problem solver, me.

That's just smart business sense.. You will be making cash all the way around.. Even if you get big pay outs from casinos, it would go right back in the drugs and hookers!! Because we all know how we celebrate after getting some cash in Vegas... Drugs and hookers!!!

It would be sabotaged by puritans and conservitards within a month. They'd say it was a communist conspiracy or say there was children being abused.

And then there'd be the first overboard death from drink/drugs and they'd make up a health and safety crusade (but really they'd be suppressing freedom) - then the whole operation would be nuked from orbit (it's the only way to be shure).

Ah well - they were fun times. :pac:

That's why you have security and PR people.. It wasn't a drug OD, he slipped on a bible and went over board.. And anytime that includes drugs and hookers are fun times!!

I don't know about the practical aspects and legalities, but if you ever do succeed in getting a venture like that under way, I only hope you call the vessel "The Good Ship Venus".

P.s. I have a Free Travel Pass and a Senior Smart Pass for the Six Counties, but I suppose it wouldn't be valid on your ship. But maybe you'll give OAP's like me a discount?

    Anyway, best of luck!
