This is probably one of my most favourite cartoons of all time,
"Stop, Look and Hasten!", a Road Runner feature.
Please, give it 7 minutes of your time, the pay off with the pop up wall is priceless!
    Stop Look and Hasten!

Hard to believe its 60 years old this year (judging by the date at the start).

Worth the watch just to get this screen grab, which may get some use on various forums, including this one.
Perhaps when certain people try to preach about the merits of Zelda on the CDi :D

But you weren't there man, it was horrible!!!!
People, regulars here in fact, forced to play Burn Cycle (that I kept calling Burn Notice for some reason).
Not just that, but Zelda, and Luigi !!!
    It was brutal, and saddening.
The best thing on it was a copy of Bounder on the C64, and it wasn't as good as Bounder either!

Next time I'm bringing the 3DO, bring another controller for some Return Fire action!

The opening sequence, with the freezing light bulb, and the shattering Dolby sign, one of the best demos of surround sound ever!

Well, while we're on the subject on animated shorts, the last minute or so of this Tex Avery short may just be one of the greatest in all of animation.

It's a damn shame that WB have yet to bring their Looney Tunes BD's over here, but hey. At least they're region free.

I'll see if I can dig out a PSP charger and try it out...
Hopefully many PSones won't have to die to bring you this information......

Nope, doesn't work, the light comes on the PSone but the disk doesn't spin.
The PSP gives out 5v but the PSone is looking for 7.5v :(

On a brighter note, I happen to have a spare power supply for the PSone!
So, next Beers in mine, it's all yours! :)

Woohoo, StarBlade added to the Namco Arcade on the iOS App Store.
The controls lend themselves well to the touch screen, which is nice :)
It's not everyone's cup of tea but I know at least one other fan of the game on these forums :)

Myth busted, saw someone say online it worked! Thanks for that you're a star! (as usual)

You travel as much as me and see if you don't embrace mobile gaming.
It's just so damn hard to get my Vectrex, Candy cab and various consoles into the overhead compartment on planes :D
And the less said about the time i tried to get my SNES Super Scope onto the plane the better :pac:

I'm a huge fan of Starblade, I remember a sit-in cab of it in Dr. Quirkies yonks ago. So loud, so cool.

It works surprisingly well on Mame too.

Just to mention this thread is currently circling the plug hole that is 10,000 posts!
I shall create a renaming thread closer to the big event.
Sera won the honour last time, who will it be next?
Oh, the excitement of it all!

    Well, that's what I have my PS Vita for...and hopefully a 3DS.

I've got those as well. But the battery life is crap on both compared with my iPad and if you want to run any emulators your mostly out of luck. I used to carry all sorts when travelling but now its mostly and iPad, ds lite with the latest acekard and my phone as well as one decent external battery pack.

The Vita is ok, the 3DS I'm learning to like again. But for travel its all about weight and battery life for me.

    Edit:
And by travel I'm not talking daily commute or a trip to Galway. I'm talking hitting 2 or 3 airports in the same day.

Have to say I agree with the 3DS battery life being pretty terrible. I find the Vita lasts much longer.

They are bringing out a larger official battery for the 3DS which should improve things.

I'm pretty sure you can't replace the battery in the 3DS without opening the whole thing up. Nintendo should have thought that one through.

Yeah, it's actually the Wii U pad they are bringing out an extended battery for, not the 3DS.

Well I was going to say 'Excuse me, can you tell me where Avatan-halen likes to hang out?' but Ryo would never have to ask that question... we all know the kinds of places that boy likes to hang out!

31 euros for Gal Gun on the PS3... I'm going to feel dirty buying this.
