Apparently the answer was Snes, two contollers, cables and the likes, and ten games.

Quick non-related question, lads- Was there ever a PAL version of Trill Kill released?

It was never released at all. The game was finished and ready for release but deemed too violent and inappropriate so never made it to the shops. You can still eh, obtain it in iso form online though. I brought it to one of the beers and we did some 4 player matches. It's alright, nothing amazing.

There was never any version of that game released. The closest thing is some leaked review/preview code.

Nah, but I wouldn't be overly upset if that island sank back into the Atlantic ocean. After you've had your holiday of course. :)

Turned into a Saturn, Dreamcast and Mega CD disc production factory this evening. I think I'll play through Snatcher once I get Earthbound finished off.

Fun fact- the Mega CD battery is rechargable, like the Dreamcast. I wonder why Sega put a standard CR2032 in the Saturn?

Kind of wish they'd done the same for the DC and Mega CD. Far easier to replace.

Really? I was always lead to believe that it got a release in America. I'm kinda disappointed now. I never expected it to be much good, but always wanted to play it anyways. I don't think I'd be into "obtaining" a copyif it never got a proper release though. What a pity.

Yeah, I'd love to get all those games on discs, some amount of them!

It's annoying though, I have my Saturn and Mega CD burning down perfect. No bad discs. Works every time.

Dreamcast I'm still a bit hit and miss. I thought I'd finally figured it out with .cdi discs but had a bad burn last night with Death Crimson OX. Although I've never been able to get that game to work!

Those cdi images can be a pain in the ringer alright (they're call cdi after all)..

But I've had very good success with ImgBurn once the cdi image handling dll are installed.

The problem with a table quiz like that is that I'll end up getting pedantic. They will inevitably pull some question out of their arse like the Atari 2600 being the first cartridge based console and I'll probably end up giving out to them and correcting them.

If anyone was at o1s1n's you all say how bad I got when apparently Jet Set Radio was the first cel shaded game :P

Started using Imgburn a couple of weeks ago and it's brilliant! The best results I'd gotten before that were with Discjuggler. I'd still be binning one out of every three discs though.

It also works great with Mega CD and Saturn games. Converts all the mp3 files to Wav so you don't have to waste your time with any of that.

Only thing you need to watch out for is to create a cue file. All the Saturn images I've come across recently seem to have one already though. The Mega CD ones don't for some reason.

When I was 'building' my saturn collection a lot of the muppets that created the 'archives' didn't know how to make a cue sheet so if it doesn't burn or burns without music then that's usually the culprit. It's easy enough to change it anyway with notepad.

So...anyone getting the Capcom Arcade Cabinet? I think it's out tomorrow.

It's a digital compilation of a few of capcoms older pre-CPS games.

Burn them with imgburn, slowest burning speed. Usually does the trick for me.

So emulated roms with extortionate prices...or are they actually a sane price?

Black Tiger is also free available for free, but you only get one continue for the 360 version until you buy something.

It's a series of games that will subsequently be released from time to time. You can buy them all at once for €29.99 (I think), plus you get an additional two free games if you buy all the other ones.

I hate videogame sales sometimes. A friend of mine told me that the Arland trilogy of the Atelier games is really good. So I went looking to buy them and found they were really hard to find at a decent price so decided to snap them up before they become rare. Amazon only had a few copies and playasia was sold out of atelie totori. So I scrimped and saved and ended up spending about 40 on the last two and 25 on rorona. Atelier Totori arrived yesterday. I wake up today to check the weekly playasia sale and all 3 Arland trilogy games are on sale for 15 euros each. I thought they were sold out playasia!

Something like 3 games for a fiver I think. Not sure if they offer anything better than their Mame counterparts though.

No doubt trophies/achievements for whoever is into such things. The Multiplayer thing could be cool I guess. Still, three for a fiver isn't too bad

Regarding the table quiz, do people prefer that to a Beers in mine, or in addition to it? I can provide sofas for those needing to stay over if need be...
I know this is in the wrong thread but the subject of the quiz was raised a few posts ago.

The idea of witnessing Retr0 throwing a full on nerd rage in a bar because of some tiny little bit of pedantic gaming trivia does sound rather entertaining :pac:

When's the quiz/your next beers planned for?

I believe in the end there was just a 4 day difference in the releases of Jet Set Radio and Wacky Races.

20 Days. Wacky Races was released on June 9th 2000 in North America and Jet Set Radio was released on June 29th 2000 in Japan.
