Irish Rail - 5pm DART from Pearse now only 4 carriages long

Can anyone tell me why the 5pm dart from Pearse to greystones now only has 4 carriages? Resulting in most passengers standing the whole way home not to mention the heat. This right at the start of rush. Ta R

I often wonder about the use of headcount numbers, and if one dug deeper would we find that many of the IE "downsized" are doing the same work at Lloyd Rail or other contractors, having received a lump, but are "off the books" at IE so they can trumpet how much they are doing with fewer people.
