Was waiting for the affirmation from feargale.

Given that P H Pearse and Thomas Davis were proponents of a free Ireland (Nationalist/Republican)what interesting fact had they in common?

There may be more than one but I'm looking for a very specific common factor.

I thought it was accepted procedure here that a thanks from the questioner indicated that the answer was correct. It saves clogging the thread.

Thanks feargale - didn't see your thanks initially, hence the delay - yes both had British fathers (Davis was Welsh as far as I know)..

Why didn't you include St. Patrick? Yes, Mr. Davis was Welsh.
