When is Brock Fighting? Will this be broadcasted on my television machine?

Due to the Main Event being so big, its easy to forget that this is a quality card!

    Some great match ups.

Cote v Cung Le will be competitive.

As will Easton v Menjivar! Easton is a beast and Menjivar is on a nice run and it's hard to forget he's only 30! He's been around for so log!

Kim v Maia is a very interesting one IMO! 2 great grapplers with 2 completely different grappling styles and decent stand-up!

Cody Mckenzie by Guillotine choke anyone??

Yeah, this main card is as strong as i've seen in a LOOOOONG time.

I've a feeling Forrest v Tito could well be a Fight of the Year Contendor, Forrest is a warrior and loves getting hit, Tito in his last outting will definitely wanna go out with a bang, I have Forrest though, late TKO or decision.

I think Cote will take Le, but by decision

Easton to win early on by TKO.

Can't split Kim v Maia and reckon it'll be a close decision either way.

Hoping Mckenzie comes through, liked him on TUF and wouldn't like to see him go 1-3 (think he's 1-2 now)

Heard a rumour that Maia was struggling with his weight cut and he's lethargic and slow atm.
Obviously could just be blowing smoke but I'm going for Kim.

I will pay a lot of money if someone can make today Saturday.

Don't remember being this excited about a fight... Bit crummy that Faber and Cruz got scrapped from this.

Looking forward to more of Cung Le's stuff, he's a seriously entertaining fighter!

    One headbutt coming right up!

    Cheque in the post?!

most excited I've been since Randy v Brock... for whatever reason... just remember foot tapping and not talking to anyone for about 10 mins before the fight... this is gona be worse... wonder what tunes the lads are comin out to...
This is truly a once and for all test of Silva's greatness... I know he's 38 but age hasn't affected him yet so age is no excuse so we should expect the best Silva ever... and Sonnen will require it... but if the best Silva ever turns up then Sonnen is getting hurt... real bad ! (probably not quite all limbs broken and die but everything up to that point :)
    Talk v Talent
    Hype v Greatness
Best MMA Fighter ever v Massively Inflated Ego

It's been fun Chael but it's time to pay the piper !

Sonnen has already proved that he's not all talk: Landing more strikes in the first round than any other fighter had in a full 15 minutes, putting Silva on his back longer than all other fighters combined....etc...

Fair enough your excited about the fight but you're talking complete ****.

Very stacked card. As much as an ass Tito can be at times, ive always had a sort of soft spot for him, so hope he picks up the win. Be a nice send off for him. hope that turns into a brawl for a fight.

As i had to give up my regular UPC package, I'm now ESPN-less. How much does it cost to get the fight on the UFC sight?
Reckon this card could actually be worth it.....

I have the UFC.TV subscription (6 months duration) and all the events are blacked out for me. So as far as I know you can't watch it through the site with the UFC TV subscription unless you live outside the countries it lists, or you use a proxy to watch it with, which are usually very slow, making it fairly unlikely it'd work.

I'm not sure if you can actually buy just the PPV of UFC 147 though, it'd be cool if you could.

If it turns out you can watch it through the UFC TV service then you're welcome to my login to watch it.

    From UFC.TV
This event is blacked out in the UK, Scotland, Ireland, India, Greece and Italy

If you happen to live outside of those places, it's $44.99

I sincerely hope Malta doesn't get marked as being part of Italy :(

Anybody else surprised by the salaries for this one?

    Silva - $200,000 flat fee
Sonnen - $50,000 to show, $50,000 to win

    Ortiz - $250,000 flat fee
Griffin - $125,000 to show, $150,000 for the win

Cung Le - $150,000 flat fee
Cote - $21,000 to show and $21,000 to win.

I'm very surprised by Silvas pay. He's getting less than Tito!
And why is Cung Le getting so much?

    Sonnen is gettin raped here?

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,165 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

My guess about Cung Le's salary is that he was on MASSIVE money on his Strikeforce contract and Zuffa acquired it along with the rest of Strikeforce.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,933 ✭✭✭Logical Fallacy

    Sonnen is gettin raped here?

Not at all, I'd say he is getting a nice PPV slice for the fight. The one thing I do respect about Sonnen is that he has never complained about his pay and has always stated that the UFC look after him well.

I imagine he gets a nice bonus check for this fight no matter what way it goes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,165 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

Even when you forget the PPV back end, Sonnen is fighting to win $100k.

Silva, the unbeaten 14-0 World Champ is fighting to win $200k.

    I don't see the issue!

Sonnen deserves every penny and more. He is responsible for a lot of PPV buys.

Is this on tonight/tomorrow morning? I've missed the last 6 months of UFC but I should be able to watch this one.

Is this on tonight/tomorrow morning? I've missed the last 6 months of UFC but I should be able to watch this one.

It's on tonight, Facebook prelims start at 12am, UFC.tv prelims at 1am and main card on ESPN at 3am.

(I hope I have that right)

  • Registered Users Posts: 567 ✭✭✭R.F.

Sounds about right. Also the event itself is 4 hours rather than the normal 3 hour

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,433 ✭✭✭✭El Guapo!

I'm ridiculously excited about this fight! I cant wait for it.
I'm goin on holidays tonight and I'm not even excited about that. All I can think about is this fight!
I'll have to watch it on my phone in the airport but I don't even care. At least I get to see it. (Thanks again Lee! :) )
I just hope it lives up to all the hype.
And I hope it's over before I have to get on my flight!!
