Sorry for not mentioning that! It's 1 coat Collinite 845 atop a clayed surface. I'm going to keep using that until Detailing Shed get in Fusso Dark

10 days since it's last wash and wax, still going quite well. Doesn't seem to attract dirt the same way the Focus did, which is nice!

Windows polished with raylon pad and Autobrite clear view polish then 2 coats of AB rain repellent.

Actually very happy with rain repellent, major improvement on orchards hydrophobic window spray.

Nice job. the polishing with rayon pad beforehand makes all the difference. People don't realise it but glass attracts contaminants just like paintwork and people normally don't bother with the glass when claying their car.

This is also a factor in wiper chatter.

I wonder is there any product out there that does not cause wiper clatter.

Latest one was H2go
Excellent on side windows but good lord do those wiper shudder.

Windscreen was brand new
Clayed
Polished
Erasor
Cleaned with Angelwax glass cleaner
2 coats of H2go.

2 weeks later
Clayed and cleaned to remove it.

Been testing a product for the past few months that's quite good. No shudder or chatter but there is a very slight smear that disipates after almost straight away. No need for wipers a lot of the time. 3 months durability and easy to apply.
All things considered it's quite good.

I use eraser to clean then windscreen and then apply a coat of Orchard Autocare Hydrophobe, found it excellent and i don't have any wiper shudder even though the wipers blades are nearly due replacing

Do you clean your wiper blades. I usually give them a wipe with some ipa (cleaning solution). Once my blades are clean there's no shudder.

I sprayed HydrO2 on the windscreen recently. There is a smear in the mornings that takes a while to get off. In normal use it works well enough.

Orchard Autocare Hydrophobe, while its handy in terms of application, in theory, spray on and rinse off; I found it left smearin that required buffing anyways...it worked OK but wasn't overly durable. Worked OK during driving in wet conditions.
Given the unique selling point; the application not being as suggested and much the same as others, I was tempted to try others and never went back to it.
Orchard Autocare Perfection was pretty good, especially given its for paintwork. Spray on, buff clear. Or when driving and wipers started to get judder, I had a bottle in the boot, with a quick spray and wipe clear with a pass of the wipers and continue on my way.

I find Orchards hydrophobe works best on side windows, there the stuff works for around the claimed 6-8 months he told me. The best results regarding durability I got was by spraying on, use a microfiber to lightly spread around screen and leave for about 5+ mins and rinse off before it drys. Even then best I ever get from it was 3-4 weeks before it was becoming ineffective under a 100 km/h where as 1st applied it works from about 60 km/h.

Smears were only in coolish morning for me, and any wiper judder I got was when windscreen was to dry as in misty rain and people using wipers on constant. Personally I try not use wipers until it is heavy rain if possible.

The jury still out on Autobrite repel for me to say anything much, application is spray spread leave for 15 mins (maybe more) till hazed and buff, 2 coats on 1st application. That side worked well for me and very easy to do do/buff.

Has worked from 45/50 km/h on the little use I have had from dew/bird **** :mad: and no smears, the very early morning cold dew/condensation seems to hang on bit longer on outside.

Will have to wait regarding durability.
