    Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way of checking my results before they are officially released? I'm finding it hard to wait until wednesday as its my final year and I'd love to know how i got on...

    I know there was a few ways before such as using active reg, etc.... would jus like to know if there are any other ways, as that has been closed off.

    Not sure but at a guess, I wonder does it mean Pass by Compensation?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,663 ✭✭✭Cork24

    I would think so as I got 38% and a c after it and I was given the crdt,

    Other ppl got 38% and 35% In some exams but got no c after their result I would think its cos they failed 2

    Yeah they probably just failed then as they hadn't enough marks in other subjects to compensate them.

    Cool I was worried a bit though I had carry fail on it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,953 ✭✭✭Vinta81

    Are you able to carry a fail into 4th year at all?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,691 ✭✭✭Lia_lia

    Does depend on whether you n a 4 year course (you can) or a three year course with an optional add on year (you can't)

    Failed 2 exams myself. One was continuous assessment and is not shown on my repeat timetable. Is that a carry fail or can I repeat?

    It depends if you got less than 35% you can't compensate so you will have to repeat.

    You will get an email about repeats in the next few days.

    The repeats will be in August and will be on in the Atrium or melbourne building usually!

    compensate happens automatically, you we see or example 36c means you got 36 but you passed by compensate, but

    Since you failed 2 you can not compensate if you failed one then I would say you will have a compensate and get the 5 marks

    if I got 37 % in one of my modules does it get compenstated from another module ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 patryk4x

    There was an email sent out to everyone in the entire college, with a link to follow to see your timetable if you were repeating .

    Have you looked here http://examtimetables.cit.ie/

    Pretty sure its the same as normal. You can need to get over 35% in the failed exam. And at least 50 in another. You can only compensate for one exam. If you fail 2 or more you can't compensate.

    Its the same thing.

    1.1 = H1
    2.1 = 2H1 etc
