These guys were got recently. The Sensible Software book is by the same crowd doing the kickstarter Megadrive book, tons of info and pics, it's really nice. Brings back fond memories of the C64 & Amiga days. :)

This is a screenshot from what could have been a potential GTA style game, 'Mirror, Signal, Manslaughter' from 1991 (few years before GTA was released). Shame it never saw the light of day.

Most recent addition is the Vita as mentioned elsewhere. Cool little machine it is. Got the Starter Kit and Handgrip (with essential 'Anti-Skidding Protection') from ebay. Both were well worth getting, other than a handy screen protector and few other bits, it has a really good quality leather case and soft pouch. The handgrip makes it more comfortable to play imo, has a hard rubber feel to it. Everything is still accessible when using it except the charging port.

    That BVM looks familiar... :D

Lovely stuff. That Metropolis poster looks cool!

    Finally :D :pac: :D :pac:

Resident Evil 2, 3 and CV for the Gamecube. Found in CEX for €39 total with manuals like new. Delighted. Don't have the money to spend but couldn't leave them there in that condition and at that price considering I've been hunting them for yonks and never willing to pay what they go for.

MGS twin snakes was there for under €30 like new too, have no extra cash at all (the €40 nearly killed me) so doubles or games to resell ain't happening. bargain of sorts for someone else though. Turns out it was a friend of a friend who traded them in too :o could have possibly got them cheaper.

    That looks amazing!

I'd love if a playable demo was released!

Edit: Just read that it was only a gameplay mockup, so it was no where near being a playable game!

Still fascinating though, and a shame it was no more.

Just read that they rescued the image from a water-damaged disk too!

    Must check that out! Thanks.
I still have a subscription to your GCCX thread, if more episodes have appeared on youtube in the last year, some of us should compile the links and get a mod to edit your OP!

    Must have a looksi!

Edit: All is not lost, there is a lot of them on here still: :)

Very nice Andrew. Loved the Amiga back in the day. Especially the Sensible stuff. Cannon Fodder is defo in my top five games of all time. Top three even!

Received the first volume of PC Engine Gamer - very disappointed :(

First thing - the print quality and the content is great. Absolutely no issues with that and I've quite enjoyed reading through it.

My previous concerns about the ring binding have all been realized - A cheap solution which feels cheap.

Notice how my frosted back cover isn't connected? Yep, because of the ring binding, it keeps falling off.

    2013-12-15155439_zps3d73edc7.jpg

See the horrible warping to the paper? Again, ring binding and no solid cover has lead to this.

    2013-12-15155604_zpsf7251ef5.jpg

    2013-12-15155613_zps5aba6628.jpg

End result? Absolutely great content and something which should have been a joy to collect, ruined by ring binding and cheaping out on the whole thing.

For €25, I was expecting a hell of a lot more.

Ring bound things are the work of the devil, being a lefty myself.

The Youtube takedown issue seems to be pretty bad at the moment. You'd think Sony, Microsoft and other publishers in general would be taking a very light handed approach on this issue considering they're making gameplay commentary and streaming such a big part of the Next Gen consoles.

You should definitely send them an e-mail with feedback.

If nobody does, then they'll never fix the problem.

This isn't being driven by copyright holders by the most part, it's an automated Youtube system....which makes it all the more ridiculous

Yeah a lot of game companies/devs have been telling youtubers to dispute the claims and are totally against the copyright claims.

So far the copyright complaints seem to be against the audio and music used in the videos, or in the background of the videos rather than the video itself.
I see Classic Game Room is no longer posting reviews on YouTube because of it.

There are bogus companies too claiming the copyright, & Youtube is giving them the monetization. It's ridiculous. Did you see Angry Joe's interview with a Tomb Raider dev was pulled for copyright, over a claim by a company called Tombraider

The music in the background of videos etc in most cases, is being picked up automatically by this 'content id' bot, it's not even a case of the owner claiming copyright infringement. The bot scans the content, sees the music matches to a known copyright, & auto-pulls the video. Even if the copyright holder has no issue with it

Speaking of all this YouTube stuff. I've added a video section over on retrovia(I'm being super original and calling it RetroTube :o). Nothing earth shattering at the moment but it's handy to have all the retro vids in one area (It's not just my stuff :)).

It'll make a great picture for the front of the news paper when the Guards are looking for you to "help with their enquiries" after Christmas.

    Landed this morning. :)

    Ketsui - Arrange OST
Lovely muzak from Manabu Namiki and a literal STACK of world class STG arrangers. Aural deliciousness!
    get4.jpg

Ketsui: The Second Apocalypse Insanity DVD
Ridiculously difficult to find for sale (and at a sensible price). Personally I think this was harder than the Battle Garegga Insanity DVD to find.
    get2.jpg

Radirgy: The Illegal Function Insanity DVD
Like the Ketsui set, this one proved tricky to pick up too. Not far off a full set now though!
    get1.jpg

DoDonpachi Dai Ou Jou: Black Label Superplay
One of two known releases by N-Pro. The other being Raiden IV. These are excellent and have awesome live action segments and more. Just need Raiden IV now for the full set!
    gdmy.jpg

    Samsung HDTV Adapter
HDMI goodness for my new blower. Hopefully I'll be able to hook it up to my HDPVR2 and record some Android STG action!
    gunh.jpg

    Gaia Seed (PlayStation)
I like this game. It's a love/hate affair with a lot of gamers though alas. I think Techno Soleil only made one other game unfortunately. A shame.

Gaia Seed is fun for the engrish and how surreal the whole thing is. I remember when I could have gotten it cheap and didn't :( My only problem with the game is it's too damn easy. I got the crap ending on my first go and the good ending on my second when I found out about how to get it.
