Cheers! They're well within my reach so, not much more than the 205/40s I used to run :) just needed an idea of what I'm working with!

The irony of post 406, the very car they're planned for :pac:

If you are not restricted with width you'd get 225 45 17s for less cost me thinks.

I'm thinking of that myself, the wheels will handle that size, just! I'll look into some prices when I'm in Trufit next :)

The lower price is for ditch finders the higher for top end. Depending on your budget is I would strongly consider part-worns. I'm preaching a lot about same recently! :o

Every tyre on my van is a part worn, I freakin love them! Apart from the chinese auto rubbish on the rear right... For commercial tyres they are really good in the wet and less than half price for nearly new tyres :)

I had great experiences with Accelera in the past so if the part worns are only slightly cheaper I'll be getting these instead... :)

I'd better make sure these Lensos fit first! :pac:

lads, wtf happened to all Jap stuff?!

i tried to find some EVOs, s14, s15, skylines, 180sx and there are more WANTED adds, then for sale.
a few months ago it was over filled with them and prices were really damn low, but now it is totally different story.

btw what is worth checking outside of donedeal? carzone is like an ad graveyard at this stage.

You just sold your bloody Skyline! Your missus is going to murder you if she finds your search history! :p

Have a look on DTDIRL and maybe even MidnightClub, could be something worth a look.
If you're looking for something cheap then this seems pretty nice. Needs a bit of a attention but I'm sure it's nothing you couldn't handle. :)

Only issue, it's an autobox. :(

Edit: OH OH OH, BUY A TRACK DAY CAR! :D

As above I'd imagine the specialist forums/clubs would be your best bet to pick up cars like the ones you've mentioned.

I like that - quirky little thing!

I'd say the sound of that yoke with the top down, high revs must be a beautiful thing.

well i did not said the positive part of selling skyline. She has my balls in the handbag with skyline, but i sold it with one condition: i am getting replacement for ford!
i will be putting a thread very very soon, where you lads will help me to spend 7k for something fun! :)

Being completely honest I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole in terms of seriously looking for a car. As with most car related forums, everyone thinks their car is made of gold because they added a K&N filter or similar. If you actually found anyone selling their car for reasonable money I'd be shocked

So someone is buying a car off of you privately, what is your dream situation ?

Im thinking meet to view car all goes well and after haggling you both drive to the bank you get a bank draft out and some cash hand them over after signing a very basic receipt to say your selling the car they go in check the bank draft is ok and lodge it you then get handed a stamped and addressed envelope by the buyer for the logbook buyer drops you to post office to send it off you get dropped home, the end.

It's what i have in mind buying, anyone see any problems here ? As i don't want to be carrying cash.

Haha, cheers - no celebrations yet though. I'm still quite dehydrated, malnourished and sleep deprived after the last few days, 3 bananas as an entire days food isn't so good! I don't think the stomach would cope just yet :P

She's a part type model, a full time nypmho with a penchant for slightly chubby musicians. With a twin sister of equally dubious morals and fetishes.

Seems fair enough, if I was lodging the money I'd sooner they gave me 100% cash tbh. I wouldn't expect the buyer to provide the SAE either, nor would I expect a spin home, small things but still.
