If I could just draw all of your attention to here :)
It's a great weekend, epic fun

I drove from Sallins this morning with the fuel light on, VW Caddy 1.6 TDI, to Mullingar and then on to Tullamore before I filled up. Why are fuel lights so paranoid?

Auto Depo Tyres on the Belgard Road/Cookstown Industrial Eastate in Tallaght.
7mm thread left on them which seems fair to me. The price includes fitting, ballancing and disposal.
Mine are 195/50/15 so I don't know what the stock would be like for yours, worth a try though, want me to PM you the number?

€145 is for the pair I presume? How much are they a corner new? Can't be that expensive in 15's?

I paid €140 for a set of part worn 245/45/18 Contis last Saturday. That was definitely worthwhile as the same tyre are €288 a corner new from eiretyres plus fitting. Can't see the Pirellis being much / any more than €100 a corner new on 15's.

EDIT: P6's are €71 new from eiretyres in that size - maybe Cian is getting 4 for that price? Would want to be!

Yeah, it's the four of them, lads. €75 for the front two and €70 for the back which have about 6.6mm left.
€145 for two I'd be mad to pay, I'd just buy new at that price.

Is it normal in Ireland to buy part used tires?

It is really popular where I came from, but when moved here first ( 7 years ago ) and I was looking for part worn tyres the sales Peale looked at me like I am about to murder an infant.

That makes a bit more sense alright! ;)

It's getting more popular alright. 7 years ago there was plenty of money floating around, now there isn't!

True, but they told us it was illegal too... I guess they just wanted us to buy new ones. :)

Can only assume the leak is dark gooey stuff is brake fluid ?

    .......

Brake fluid is a fluid, not gooey stuff. Have a look at your brake fluid reservoir to make sure the level is correct. Where is the evidence of the leak btw?

I'm not looking to put a blame on anybody

I just want to know if I can continually drive my car for the next 4 hours straight around dublin without hassle or do I call it a night and lose over €100 in earnings ?

If its unsafe I'd gladly stop now and leave my car here and get the bus home. That's all I want to know

I got a second opinion on the leak, being told its grease and it's ok as long as its not on the disks

    But still grindy tin noise

Its not sounding good, Id leave it there. Better to be safe then sorry.

But I know nothing about cars, so I really dont know.

If you are not restricted with width you'd get 225 45 17s for less cost me thinks.
