What are you talking about? Whenhe began his time in office it was around 5.7 percent unemployment. Whenhe left it was about 5! And if he actually used the vast amount of money to actually create jobs, the benefits would have been huge compared to giving it to the military.
I mean that hisadministration hoisted the debts/risk of private institutions onto the peoples backs. Hebailed out Chrysler, among others.
Hewas one of the most protectionist presidents in recent times.

Calm down and use the space bar!

It was 7.1 when Reagan took office, peaking at 10.8 before shortening to 5.5.

    Also, Carter bailed out Chrysler

    Currently, Pearse Doherty

    Stephen Donnelly.

Currently impressed with the job Alan Shatter is doing.

Politically my views do not align with parties I vote for on a lot of things, but I'll vote for them every chance I get to ensure utter gob****es like Sinn Fein, the ULA and Joe Higgins never see power in this country.

The figures I'm looking at say otherwise.

favourite politician is this like voting for a personality, why would anybody have a favourite politician,(well enda kennys not my favourite for bringing back water charges, and implementing the new household tax, taxing for a house people paid for,its only a matter of time before all this goes up to the thousands, and what about those who cannot afford)..

there all scamming ****,putting in false claims for expenses, thinking off the top of my head, would be: mary harney(fas scandal),ruari quinn (false phone and travel expenses),ivor callely etc..

I hadn't heard this, I thought he was one of the better ones

Got a lot of credit for working with Nora Owen and setting up Criminal Assets Bureau

So the bould Ruari wants to tackle criminals and then gets involved in fraud himself :(

I went out today to try and buy enough healthy food for my kids for tomorrows dinner with the last
bit of money i have till next friday and to be honest I saw this chip of alan shatter laughing at his own
speech and i found it very unsettling. Ok i know we all can get a fit of the giggles but if i had written that
speech before hand and see where i am at the moment in my life I would not see the funny side of it.

It just shows me yet again how out of touch these people are, even though i voted for them and i naively
believed that they took it so seriously and had some understanding. For me now i have no faith in any
of them . I won't say any more because there is no point.

    Social Democrat.

Favourite politician...I don't have one. I don't trust any of them when it comes down to it but I suppose the one closest to home and the one I'd be in the most agreement with would be Joe Higgins.

I am extremely right-leaning. I believe in little goverment power over the people, a Laissez-faire market, little as possible taxation, slashed public service, reinstatement of religion in schools an dclassroom led prayer. Super strict immigration, ie, everyone entering is fingerprinted and photographed at the border and passport number is filed. Immigrants commiting crimes are deported permanently and blocked from country (where the fingerprints come in).
Respect fo relderly and pride in the nation and more respect for Gardaí and army.

This is a very strange post giving the fact that there is very few politicans in our government that are actually wanting to help people in our society besides bankers and the wealthy. If your into dishonesty, falseness and like living in a big bliss of ignorance believeing everything the government say then you will have a lot to chose from. For Honesty and humanity, I go for the socialist party and Pearse doherty and Mary lou Mc D at least they are doing what is right and standing up for the vulernable in socety.
