I am extremely right-leaning. I believe in little goverment power over the people, a Laissez-faire market, little as possible taxation, slashed public service, reinstatement of religion in schools an dclassroom led prayer. Super strict immigration, ie, everyone entering is fingerprinted and photographed at the border and passport number is filed. Immigrants commiting crimes are deported permanently and blocked from country (where the fingerprints come in).
Respect fo relderly and pride in the nation and more respect for Gardaí and army.

    John Hume.
A quiet unassuming man that went about his role with grace and then retired to a well deserved rest.

grover cleveland or margaret thatcher would be my favourite.

both strong characters with the right ideas on economics.

just for personality - bertie ahern, taking criticism like a hero and completely shameless about taking the money that we all would have taken in the same position

Thread reeks of "I need to get attention for my extreme views and have an argument with those who disagree."

Since you ask though: my views are ones that involve thinking about the bigger picture, be they left or right or centrist, not so that I tick every box I'm "supposed to" tick in order to be seen as occupying a particular notch on the political ideologies spectrum.

Mind bother justifying your views, you know, just so you can be scrutinised.

My political values are with the greater good for all.
A little bit of everything except extreme bigotted fanatical views on a single notion. That to me is just showing a lack of intelligence.

Edit. I note the poster that is Eric Cartman dances to the OP's tune. Thread is futile.

I like politicians who don't seem to care about power. You laugh. There were very few, for sure but Garett Fitzgerald was one.

I never found any political label that I feel 100 percent comfortable with it.

In general, I'm something of a lefty, though I have some right-wing views on certain things.

Personal freedom is the most important thing to me. People should be allowed to do whatever they want, as long as their actions don't harm anyone else.

I like the general idea of social welfare, but it needs to regulated a lot more effectively.

I'm not against capital punishment in certain cases, e.g. mass murderers/mass rapists, though, each case should be taken on it's merits.

On economic matters, I'm more conservative.
